The item arrived quickly and in perfect condition. There are no instructions included but there are multiple YouTube videos demonstrating how to dismantle a broken sliding door lever and install a replacement. I knew ahead of time that the lever of the E-2703 is a half inch shorter than the original one on my sliding door. But after shopping locally and across the internet (Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, Walmart, Prime-line.net, Ebay, Bolo, etc., etc.), I couldn't find anything that exactly matches the original. So, finally, I had to accept the compromise and take what was available. I also knew from the product info page on Bolo, that the steel tail piece that comes with the E-2703 is 1 3/8 inches long. What I didn't know until the package arrived and I took my door handle apart to start on the replacement, is that the steel tail that comes with the E-2703 is more than a half inch longer than the one in the original. At first, I thought "no problem", I'll just re-use the original tail with the new lever. But the base end of the old tail is much wider than the new tail and doesn't fit into recessed receptacle of the new lever. In order to get all the parts to fit and work together, I had to cut the new tail to match the length of the old. Luckily, I happen to have the tools on hand to do that. (I chose an oscillating multi-tool w/metal cutting blade and a file.) If I hadn't been able to cut that steel tail though, it would have been a real drag. All in all, it works fine. But it's weird that the parts/products available are so limited that you can't find exact matches and need to compromise and resort to hacks in order to do such a basic repair.

This saved me $70+ & a ton of frustration! Our sliding door lock broke & I bought/returned several handles trying to find a correct replacement for our door measurements but then I found this & it allowed me to keep the original handle with minimal assembly! The color & quality are a perfect match & it functions even better than the old lock. Huge value for the price — especially compared to the price of entire handle replacements.

After finding that Lowes and Home Depot were out of stock on this latch, I checked Bolo and found I could get it the next day. How is that for service. Easy install and it works perfectly. It is the exact replacement and saves buying a door handle. One happy customer.

This worked perfectly for my Jeld-Wen sliding door. As others have mentioned, it is slightly smaller than the OEM version but not enough that you can really tell and it works perfectly and so far has held up well.

The latch is functional, and the installation video here on Bolo was definitely useful (though not having a deep socket, I had to improvise), and yet...The latch feels cheap. Every time I latch/unlatch the door, I'm afraid the darned thing is going to break. It's not satisfying at all to use.

The latch fit the door fine and is working as it was supposed to. I gave 4 stars for the flat piece that operates the latch. It is too short for my door and I had to get a longer one. There was no measurement listed and the product description was brief. At least I didn't have to buy a whole new handle set, which would have been much more costly.

Although it was very difficult to install, it took 2 of us to do it.... the latch is as good as new. This purchase saved us a great deal of money. Totally worth fixing it ourselves.
