These are called fixit blocks in England. They are very useful for all kinds of knock down right angle joinery in mock up work before the final design is built with good wood, or where they do not show. I always keep a plastic jar of these in the workshop.
but these will look great sitting in the garage for the next 10-20 years
As for modesty - im not too sure, but these did fix me cupboards. Only needed 4, but these will look great sitting in the garage for the next 10-20 years, so i can be as rough as i like with my cupboards and be safe in the knowledge that I have the gear to put them back together.
