The container without the lid can easily be thrown directly in an oven or microwave for reheating. The glass on the set that I received is heavier than I expected and reasonably well-finished. I compared it to a recently made-in-China product that used borosilicate glass as opposed to Anchor's soda lime tempered glass. The Chinese glass looked clearer and was better finished. However, I stayed with Anchor because of my favorable past experience with their American made products, better selection of sizes, and the ability to re-order matching pieces.. I also like their snap-on lids as opposed to latching lids which break and are harder to clean. Anchor's plastic lids are fairly tough and fit reasonably well. However, I'm getting third party silicone lids that will provide an even tighter fit for this rectangular shape. Overall, I'm happy. Improvements would include stock silicone lids and the use of thinner borosilicate glass like they did a few decades ago. But I'm sure American made borosilicate would cost a lot more to manufacture.

These have been used in the microwave, freezer and dishwasher and held up fine. The lids fit and are easy to put on and take off of the glass container. These are the perfect size to replace with many of our plastic containers with lids. We use them for most anything. Will be buying more sizes.

Nice set of baking pans with lids for matching batches of enchiladas. They can all be placed in the same direction, all pans have the same number of enchiladas, and they can be stacked in my insulated carrier for carrying. Great for reheating leftovers. Same size as comparable Pyrex pans, and lids are interchangeable. Much less expensive than Pyrex. In 10 years I can tell you which might be better, but im very happy with my Anchor Hocking glass pan set. Lids dont leak sauces, but wouldnt trust for soup. You definitely need good, thin potholders to pop lids off hot pans when you get to your pot luck dinner.

Heavy duty and equally useful in the freezer and microwave ..then to the dishwasher. That said, if you want the lids to last NO microwave and NO dishwashing as they fail to rise to the utility and sturdiness of the containers. When the lids go south, I plan to replace them with silicone ones.
