It’s compatible with many mortise style locks and it is non-handed allowing it to install on both left and right-handed doors. The handle is surface mounted and it has a 4-15/16 inch hole center spacing. This patio door handle set includes a thumb lever with a safety lock feature. It mounts on the surface of the sliding door framework and it is used by many patio door manufacturers. Hand tighten the mounting screws only. Other items to consider purchasing are the Prime-Line parts E 2000 and E 2563. Mortise lock, keyed cylinder and keeper are sold separately

Every time we tried to open the door it would rip off like we had super human strength. Anyways, we finally put our adult pants on and ordered a new handle. Then it sat for a while in the package. Then one morning my husband was finally fed up with the handle and replaced it lickity-split. It fits perfectly, works perfectly and was easy for my snit-handy husband to install by himself. Although, I’ll admit I miss feeling like I had she-hulk strength.

All my old broken handle said was "Made in New Zealand." After searching for a replacement for a long time I chose this one that looked close to the original. The new one is made in China and has a slightly more curved look. Otherwise it fit perfectly.

This was bought to replace a broken handle on our sliding door. It matches the larger size as used on our door. Fitting was easy, all the holes etc. lined up and screws fitted without any issues. The only negative is this is not as substantial as the original handle, and given the original broke I have some consern how long this will last.

This Prime Line C1275 kit is an exact replacement for a Milgard sliding door handle with a 4-15/16" distance between mounting holes. This 4-15/16" specification is unique to the Milgard Tuscany line of sliding doors. Most other sliding door makers use a 3-15/16" distance between mounting holes, so it's important to break out the tape measure and note the specific distance between the top and bottom mounting holes.Please also note that this kit is exactly the same as the C.R. Laurence C1275 kit. I've also ordered a replacement door handle kit directly from Milgard and I found it to be exactly the same kit as the Prime Line C1275 and C.R Laurence C1275 kits.I have 2 Milgard sliding patio doors that I installed in 2008. In the 15 years, that I've owned these doors, the mounts for the interior sliding door handles have broken 4 times, so I know a thing or two about why these handle mounts break and how to to replace the broken part.There is a mounting plate which attaches to the sliding door. The plate has two screw barrels that are inserted into holes in the sliding door and these barrels butt up against the opposing screw barrels of the pull handle mounted on the outside of the sliding door. Two long screws run through the barrels and thread into the outside pull handle. The interior pull handle is then mounted onto the inside mounting plate (see pictures).The problem is the 2 screw barrels of the mounting plate break. These barrels are the only points of contact between the plate and the door so these mounting barrels bear the entire weight of the 70+ lbs sliding door when it's being pulled and pushed to open and close the door. The mounting plate is made of cheap cast metal that simply cannot handle the stress; it will eventually fatigue and break.See photos of metal breakage. If you have a the same problem where the metal screw barrels have broken off the mounting plate, buying a complete door handle replacement kit is a waste of money because you're also buying two new door handles and the locking lever which are parts that rarely break.Don't be like me. I have bought 3 door handle replacement kits, when I only needed to replace the mounting plate. So now I have 3 extra inside door handles, 3 extra outside door handles, and 3 locking levers that I'll probably never use. I paid $65 each for the Prime Line and C.R. Laurence kits from Bolo which I promptly received the following day. Milgard Direct will send a complete door handle kit for free since the Milgard doors have a lifetime warranty, but beforewarned, it took them 4 weeks to ship out the replacement parts.But there is a solution. Search "swisco 82-108 mounting plate" on the internet (Bolo Reviews won't let me post a link) and you will find the mounting plate sold individually. Cost: $6.74 USD + tax. Buy the plate, use your old screws. It's a 5 minute job to remove the old plate and install a new plate and your door will be as good as new.
