I picked this up to clean a fan with a built-in water tank that had been sitting unused for a while. It developed a musty smell, and this powder worked so well. I dissolved it in hot water and let the tank soak, it completely refreshed the smell and cleared out any buildup. 🫧When I opened the bag, it looked less full than expected, but it’s sold by weight, not volume, and the packaging sealed well and didn’t leak. ✅I’ve also used it to descale a kettle, clean cloudy glassware, and freshen other small appliances. I have been searching for a cleaner to get the hard water white scale off our shower doors and shower heads for more years than I care to admit. From CLR, to the green stuff, to Kaboom and vinegar, even barkeepers, I tried everything that promised to remove it. Some worked a little (barkeepers) but most didn't work at all.I saw this citric acid in a review of some other product that the reviewer said did not work. The reviewer said to skip the other product and try this. She called it a "miracle cleaner". OK, I was up for a miracle at this point. I figured it was worth a try. If it didn't work I could always use it to make sourdough bread. It's other name is "sour salt" when used in cooking.I diluted the powder 2 TB per 4 cups warm water as suggested. I poured it into a clean spray bottle. I sprayed the shower door. The white scale melted before my eyes. And I mean MELTED off the door. I rinsed the door with a 2 liter spray bottle (Hudson brand sold on Bolo) and the door was like new! No scrubbing, no nothing. How could this product have escaped my notice all these years?I googled citric acid and saw the many other uses for this product from cleaning the coffee pot, to cleaning tile and windows. The dirty grout in my kitchen...clean! The apple slices got soaked in a light solution before dehydrating.(Cheaper than lemon juice). Anything vinegar or lemon juice can do, this can do better. Enough said.This is exactly the same as "sour salt" in the small container. I also bought this because I am never going to get a decent sourdough starter going. I've tried for several years: the hundreds of different techniques on hundreds of bread websites, the "Alaska dehydrated starter" that I ordered all the way from Utah, the "fresh starter" from some folks that said it was over 100 years old and used on the Oregon Trail no less.Well, it was time for plan Z (the cheaters way). Add 1/4 to 1/2 tsp per dough recipe (about 3 cups flour) and add an extra tablespoon of yeast and you've got sourdough bread! The first time I used it, I didn't add extra yeast. I guess this salt inhibits yeast action. (same thing happened when I tried to make sourdough bread by adding vinegar.)The second time I used it to make rye bread, I added the extra yeast and it turned out perfectly. I have also used it for sweet and sour sauce. Vinegar is still my other sour ingredient in the sauce, but this adds a real kick. Lots of my grandma's "old country Russia" recipes use this sour salt. Cabbage and meatball recipe and many soups. Look on line for great "old country" recipies.Nice company too. They reached out to see if I was happy with their product.

Perfect fine grain citric acid. I use this for adding tartness and as a salt substitute. The fine granularity allows for using small amounts with even distribution when sprinkled on top of food. It mixes and disperses quickly when stirred into a dish. Very good flavor when used to make beverages. Wonderful product.

beyond words how well this cleaned my coffee maker. if not sure how to do it, on the bottomof this page where it says "ask a question" just put in clean coffee maker and directions will come up for it. very impressed 👍
Excellent product for decalcifying my Saeco espresso machine
I used this product to decalcify my Saeco espresso machine. I was skeptical to see how it would hold up to the more expensive name brand decalcifiers. This product exceeded my expectations. No less effective than the stuff I've been using for years. I wish I would have come across this a long time ago.Excellent product; excellent value
Beyond Amazed!!
Honestly, I was skeptical 🧐 about whether this would work to descale the kettle. Tried it today per instructions and as you can see from the before and after..no words to describe my astonishment. Boiled 1/2 filled kettle - added 2 TBS Millards, 20 minutes later.Just amazing results. Will do coffee machine next!Would highly recommend. Excellent product and true yo word.Thank-you.

Great for candy making, baking, descaling hard water mineral deposits and cleaning surfaces. Better quality then most other brands and the company is conscious about their source and ecology behind the product. Will buy again and recommend to others.

This is the stuff!!!
I used the Milliard Citric Acid to take mineral deposits off of bathroom taps. I had tried vinegar & other products, to no avail. Don't waste your hard earned money on anything else, this stuff works! I mixed 1/2 cup of citric acid to 1 cup of water, put it in a spray bottle & voila! I sprayed it on the taps, some areas required the use of a small stiff brush to rub the product in. I rinsed the taps off & they look like brand new! I'll never be without this stuff. I would think it would work on shower doors etc, any place where you have a mineral build up. I bought the product for this mineral build up use but I understand citric acid has many other uses. I'll certainly purchase Milliard Citric Acid again!
