5.0 out of 5 stars A perfect alternative to a traditional kneeling scooter
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } I had foot surgery and I will be non-weight bearing for 6 weeks. I knew a kneeling scooter would put too much pressure on my knees, as I have used that for two other surgeries and it caused problems with my knees. So, I was very excited to find the knee rover. The knee rover was easy to assemble. I was comfortable using it after just a couple of minutes. The seat is comfy and there are pegs on both sides to rest your foot on. The back wheels are set closer together so you don't hit those while pushing with your other leg. I don't find it difficult to push on solid surfaces. However, I needed help on the steeper inclines. Though, I was surprised that the brake held when I needed it on the steeper inclines. The ride is smooth on solid surfaces and I didn't have a problem on bumpy concrete. It rolls over carpet, but you have to push harder. I haven't tried it in grass or gravel so I can't say how it works on those terrains. The knee rover is solid. I have used it for a month now and never feel like I am going to tip over. The hand break works well. It even locks which makes it easier when I am trying to get on it.The basket is a decent size to hold my iPad, phone, 32 oz waterbottle, ice packs, and different things I grab around the house, which is very helpful.I cannot comment on how it folds, because the vehicles I have rode in were big enough to just set the knee rover in the cargo area without folding it. It was also easy to lift for those helping me, which was important to me.There are only two negative things about the knee rover. First is the size of the foot pegs. While it is fine for a foot with a split or boot, I wish it was about an inch longer on each side and padded for more comfort. The second is the metal locking clamp the protrudes to the right. I have to be careful when placeing my foot on the right side peg. But neither of these arw worth losing a star over in my opinion.Overall, I believe this is a very well made scooter that will last through this recovery, the next recovery for the surgery I will have in 6 months on my other foot, and probably many other uses if necessary in the future. Even the nurses and doctors at the office were impressed when I went in for my check ups and asked me where I got it. I would definitely recommend this scooter as long as you are strong enough to push yourself along. It may not work for someone who is very weak and struggles with weakness in their legs.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great......so far, and even greater now!
I have had both knees replaced so I can not kneel on a standard kneescooter. I recently had one shoulder replaced so I can not use crutches and using a walker causes shoulder pain. I also have upcoming foot & ankle surgery and was desperate to find a suitable means of getting around the house post-surgery. After reading many reviews, I decided to order this. It came one day after being ordered! I put is together with absolutely zero problems in about 10 minutes. No need to refer to assembly instructions as far as I am concerned. Once assembled, I tested it around the house. Here is my assessment.1. It was extremely easy to assembly, requiring no tools other than my hands.2. It rolls extremely easy. It coasts almost from one end of the house to the other with almost no effort.3. It does require several "3-point turns" to maneuver in tight spaces without bumping into or against furniture or doorways. But it is easily maneuverable.4. It does not roll easily on carpet. It rolls great on hardwood and tile floors.5. Rolling over any slight height discontinuities in the floor causes the handlebars to jerk hard due to the short handlebars, but that is a problem with physics not the design. Lengthening the handlebars to reduce the jerking would cause the scooter to be less maneuverable in tight spaces. This jerking does cause some stress in my newly replaced shoulder.6. It is very easy to mount and dismount.7. The one drawback I could find is the low location of where the supplied basket attaches to the stem of the handlebars. When turning the handlebars, the basket bumps against the affected leg resting on the foot support, limiting the amount of turn of the scooter in that direction. Rather than using the two welded-on hooks on the handlebar stem, I zip-tied the basket to the handlebars and handlebar stem which raised the basket about six inches. I used 4 zip-ties - two on the handlebars and two on the handlebar stem. This gave a very stable attachment of the basket and permitted the front wheels to turn without bumping into the affected leg. Photos are attached. Will I like it following my surgery when I'm not permitted to place ANY weight on the newly operated foot for six weeks? Time will tell. Would I buy it again knowing what little I do at this short time after it arrived? Absolutely! Plus, it is fun to scoot up and down the hallway in the house. Even we elderly folks like to have fun every now and then!UPDATE: It's now almost two weeks following my foot surgery and I consider this scooter to be a blessing in my life. It has eliminated the need for a wheelchair and walkers (with the exception of a very small bathroom that I use). It is very easy to use and getting around is now fun (under the post-surgery aspects). Knowing what I now know about this scooter, I would not hesitate one second to buy it again! One suggestion for improvement is the company may consider providing as an accessory a rotating "paddle" rather than the rod for resting the affected foot. The rod becomes uncomfortable after resting your affected foot on it for a while whereas a paddle, similar to what is used on wheelchairs, would spread the weight of the affected foot more on the back of the lower leg rather than the heel or the arch.UPDATE: It has now been nearly 8 weeks since my foot surgery and I have used this scooter almost every day. It has served me fantastically. I did have one minor issue about which I contacted Knee Rover. They were extremely understanding and helpful and resolved the issue quickly and in a manner that honestly exceeded my expectations. GREAT customer service! And a great product. Well worth the price! Accordingly I just increased the overall rating to 5 stars.
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome scooter and so easy to set up.
I have been using this seated knee scooter every day since I received it on May 8. It is now Dec 3 and I am in my 7th week post surgery. I have found no issues with this scooter other than my neighbors say they are going to report me for going too fast!!Honestly, I did buy a more padded seat for this. It was getting tough on the tush!!My surgeon approved this scooter for pre surgery, get the pressure off my foot, and post surgery for the recovery time to let everything heal. When I rode it into her office she was shocked that it worked so well and was so easy to assemble and fun to ride. I will probably get questions in the future about where I got it.It's fun to ride, goes FAST on hospital floors but not too good on carpet, but then what does. People laugh at my back up alarm, beeep, beeep.I think I will miss riding this after I have healed from the foot surgery. This scooter does not bother either knee and is actually fun to ride. Thank you Knee Rover for an awesome product for us older, not too steady, heavier adults who don't want to give up yet. So easy to assemble. Don't hesitate, buy it now! 10/10 stars. After using it for a couple days I am amazed at how comfortable it is, and how much better my knee feels since I am not on it all the time. This scooter is the next best thing to a wheelchair, and this is Fun!It has been a month of using this scooter and it is still the best thing I have ever tried. I am getting exercise on the one leg and my bad foot is feeling better because I have not been on it 90% of the time.Great scooter!! Get one.

Awesome mobility device
Purchased "open box" option. Easy assembly. Hubby has 1 leg amputation so needed something smaller than wheel chair when not using prosthesis. He loves it. Has not used chair since purchased. Very sturdy.
Muy buen producto
Muy practico y resistente me sirvió mucho en mi recuperacion
Seems like it will work well, but really uncomfortable foot peg
I love the maneuverability of this scooter, but since I have to keep my affected leg straight, it means that my calf sits square on the, foot peg, which is very uncomfortable. It would have been great for them to have included some sort of removable foam piece to accommodate this. Otherwise I think it'll be a life saver!! Very solid and just the right size.
Non Returnable
Does not raise the leg high enough after knee surgery and definitely is not meant for anyone over 6ft tall. I tried to return this item and it is non-returnable...so fair warning to those that aren't sure about an expensive purchase. Really disappointing after spending over $300
