I have a senior horse with digestive problems. He was losing weight and looked like he wasn't being fed (but he was). My veterinarian sent blood and fecal samples to the University of Michigan and the results were ulcers in his hind gut. They recommended alfalfa based feed with a cup of safflower oil over his feed. In the meantime we also realized his teeth are so worn down that he is not chewing well which is probably what caused the ulcers. So we wet his feed so he doesn't have to chew, added soaked alfalfa cubes, and put safflower oil on it twice a day. Over several months, he put weight back on and was looking decent. We quit using the safflower oil and over time he lost weight again so we put him back on the safflower oil and he is doing good now. Guess we will keep him on this diet for the rest of his life. I have searched and this is the best price I have found so I will continue buying as long as it's available.

I have used this cooking oil for years. When I was shopping around for a good cooking oil I called the manufacturer and they said this oil was pure (hope they were right). So many cooking oils have other cheaper oils blended in with them. Also, the packing is great. It is wrapped up tight and arrives in great shape. Thank you!

Please keep this pure safflower oil available, not crappy mixed oils. Safflower oil is very healthy for cooking. Saffola has a good reputation please don’t ruin it with unpure oil.
