This is a black flush mounted handle and latch set used by a wide variety of sliding screen door manufacturers. It has a steel hook latch with 1 inch standard spacing. This handle set will fit a minimum door thickness of 15/16 inch and up to a maximum thickness of 1-1/8 inch. It is 5-11/16 inch long and 7/8 inch wide with 5-1/8 inch mounting holes. Made of diecast metal, the handles fit flush into the screen door frame with an inside automatic locking feature. Four latches are provided to fit different manufacturer's designs. This latch fit the sliding screen door that came with our Milgard Tuscany sliding patio door like a golve. The quality and fit was was even better than the OEM latch that came with the screen door. I had the specs for the the screw distance so I knew it would fit OK, but was really surprised regarding the cast metal latch, much better quality. Installation including removing the old latch only took me about two to three minutes start to finish.Be careful when asking a question to the buyers forum, some of the answers will leave you saying why do people post answeres like, I don't know I've never bought this part, or not sure what a latch is, and last but not least, I returned mine the color black was not idenitical to my original one.I am really pickey wanting quality and a good price all in one and I got both with is latch. If the slider we have in our bedroom ever need replacment this is what i will get for it.

The sliding lock tab starts fall apart frequently after few weeks

It installed pretty easy, but it does not work properly. If you try to lock, it fall apart, and you have to snap the opening mechanism back on. If your luck, the spring is still there, and hasn't fallen inside.
