I bought these to crush and bake in and on brownies. The recipe author convinced me it was worth paying for this British treat rather than the American knock-off, Whoppers. Maltesers have real chocolate around the crunchy malt center and that is worth the extra effort and cost. I haven't baked the brownies yet; it will be hard not to eat this key ingredient before I do.

These were a purchase for my son as a gift. They arrived in a timely manner and were fresh. However, there was a significant gift tax involved😁The chocolate is very rich and smooth.

Ok, So I still gave a 5 star even though they dont have much of a malt taste. The chocolate is good, and has a nice crunchy center, just missing the malt flavor.

The chocolate was almost plastic-like in texture. And there just wasn't much in terms of flavor. Whoppers even taste better than these, and that's not saying much.

Tried to return due to pieces being stale. Most are crunchy but the odd few are chewey, like they got wet.
