My box turtle, Fred, is a picky eater. He has turned up his beak at every purchased turtle food I have ever bought for him. So for the 20 years I've taken care of him I have had to cook yam & peas, and hunt slugs and earthworms and cut them into bite sized pieces for him.I started by mixing this Omnivore diet with his peas and yam bites, and he cleaned up every bite. Now I'm feeding this as his primary food, and he gets very excited (it is subtle in a turtle) and rushes (slowly) to his food bowl every meal.He and I are very happy with this food (even if I think it looks and smells gross, but then I am not a turtle). We both thank you.

Bought this because my red eared slider refuses to eat fresh vegetables. I mix it in with his food mix that consists of multiple kinds of pellets, dried insects, and now this. he loves it. much cheaper on Bolo than in the chain stores. The bag was larger than i was expecting, which is awesome.

I really did not know how to rate this b/c I’m not sure if it’s the product or my picky 4 month old beardie. He refuses to eat this. I gave 3 stars because shipping was quick & it arrived in good packaging. If you have a picky eater, this might not work out for you & your bearded dragon.UPDATE: I ran completely out of fresh veggies this wk so i decided to try this again. Pablo ate it this time, BUT it was his only option. I changed my rating from 3 starts to 4 stars simply b/c he ate one serving of it. Also, it’s good to have handy in case you run out of fresh veggies. However it’s more trouble for me to rehydrate it, than it is to cut up fresh veggies, so even if he loved it, I’d prefer to serve fresh veggies

I wanted to add some additional protein and veggies into my beardies diet. He seemed bored of his greens so I thought I’d give this a try. At first he only ate the little peas from the mix, then upgraded to only eating the tiny dried carrot slivers- now he’s worked his way up to the buggies. Packaging recommends moistening the mixture, I’ve found my beardie likes it spritzed with water but not moist. He enjoys the crunching of the mix. I would recommend, just know that they may not immediately take to it. I’ve fostered 3 other bearded dragons and they all liked it with their salad.
