Very simple way to improve home security - I live in an old rental apartment where some sliding window locks no longer fit the latches, someone could potentially take the screen off the window and gain entry to the apt. These are an affordable way to ensure the windows can be locked in place from the inside. Super simple but gives me piece of mind. As others have said, warn others in the house that they are there in case of a fire.Sturdy, functional, inexpensive. Should fit most raised sliding window rails, they are essentially adjustable screw clamps.

Need to keep unwanted people out but still get a little air in to your living space. These little window locks are great put them on and use a pair of pliers to tighten and have a little piece of mine. The air comes in but no unwanted people.
