This is my second one of these. I lost my first one, which I had bought at Samsonite's website. :-(The handle feels good in your hand, and it's not made from cheap slippery plastic.It is sturdy, and it takes alot of wind to flip it/reverse it (I intentionally tested it during a period of high wind when I reviewed my first one).It's convenient to be able to push a button when getting INTO the car, and have it retract. Of course it's convenient to open it with the push of a button also.PEOPLE WITH LIMITED ARM/HAND STRENGTH-Be aware that this umbrella TAKES A GOOD AMOUNT OF PUSH to retract it for storage.Also, it has 2 Velcro strips that hold it closed. It is easy (for me anyway) to forget to undo both, and of course when they aren't both undone, the umbrella won't open. That has caught me more than once, when I undid the lower Velcro closure, opened my car door and stuck the umbrella out, pushing the release button at the same time, and it didn't open. I subsequently got pretty wet (as did my open car door) trying to hurriedly undo the top Velcro strip so it would open. So if you buy this, and I would recommend you do, don't make the same mistake.So, as I said, I would definitely recommend this item, and it is my second one, and of course it is made with "Samsonite quality". It's competitively priced and much better quality than the cheap ones, despite it's country of origin.It is Made in communist China.

The umbrella, which I had found recommended in a ladies' magazine, did not disappoint. I took it on a trip to a rather rainy/windy area, and I was more than glad to have it along. It stood up to strong winds , and it felt much sturdier than my usual tote umbrellas. If I have any criticism at all, it's that it's a TINY bit hard to open--but not really all THAT hard, so I probably shouldn't even make that remark. My husband used the umbrella, too, and was pleased with it and may get one himself.

Purchased an earlier version(2022) of this same umbrella, ordered it directly out of my history, but this is a much more flimsy and shoddy version of that umbrella. Don't read earlier ratings on this umbrella, it is not the same. Guess they figured they'd save money and cut back on everything that made the previous version worthwhile. Don't but it at this cost

Took to Ireland for 3 week vacation. Perfect size, handled the wind. Kept me dry. It was a little heavier than the cheaper ones but still easy to carry around. Highly recommend! I was just going to use and throw away before boarding plane. I kept because I loved it so much.

Produto excelente, Samsonite é bem conhecida por ser uma marca com produtos bem durável, tenho uma mala da marca e por esse motivo me interessou comprar o guarda-chuva até o presente momento não tive a oportunidade de usar o guarda-chuva mais o produto aparenta ser bem resistente e que protege bem, porém na descrição fala que o guarda-chuva abre e fecha automático e não é verdade, pra fechar tem que acionar o botão e com a mão fazer força para baixo até dá um click na trava isso requer esforço, então por esse motivo deixa a desejar pra deixar bem claro para todos antes de comprar.
