Andersen Reachout Lock and Receiver Kit - 2 Panel Door Works with Perma-Shield Gliding, Narroline Gliding, Frenchwood Gliding patio doors manufactured from 2006 to Present. Also use this kit to replace previous vintage reachout locks with part numbers 2573558 and 2573562 from 1986 to 2005. This kit includes the reachout lock mechanism often called the deadlock that installs in the door panel and the receiver often called the strike that installs in the door frame. The lock mechanism reaches out hooks the receiver pulls the door closed and locks the door. This kit is used on all 2 panel doors with reachout hardware regardless of the finish on the other hardware parts.

We have a glass sliding Andersen door that is used multiple times each day taking the dog outside to our backyard. This door is now fifteen years old. I have replaced the thumb latch half a dozen times and always have two spares available for this frequently failing part due to twist-stress on the latch metal. I have had to replace the reachout portion of the door lock once during its lifetime and the door frame receiver twice. The door frame receiver fails when the small spot weld of the adjustable receiver eventually fails from constant "pull stress" when the thumb latch engages the reachout arm "hook" to pull the door snug against the receiver. The door frame receiver just went again so I had to order another set of this OEM Andersen replacement part product. Installation was easy and straight-forward. Since these are unfortunately ONLY sold as SETs, I now have two extra reachout door portions of this set that I do not need. I searched both Bolo and the OEM Andersen website and confirmed you can only get either part by ordering this full set. Thus, this product get four stars vs five for forcing me to buy something I don't need in order to get something I do need with no other alternatives :-(

This Genuine Andersen sliding door latch was easy to install and seems like an upgrade for our 20-year old sliding door. The door's original Reachout mechanism was jamming and became difficult to lock. With the replacement, Andersen has done a great job of creating a part that fits a wide range of their sliding doors. The included instructions were clear and an on-line Andersen video helped to clarify steps in removing the old parts. The screws holding the original thumb latch were slipping from old age. Stuffing a 1-inch piece of toothpick into the screw hole helped to provide a tight fit. Thank you Andersen!
