Nice tool to have. I really suck at caulking and this makes the job much easier by sustaining constant pressure and even distribution. Only downside is it's a little bulky in tight spaces because of it's size.

My only complaint is that I wish I had purchased this sooner. It's a really well executed tool. I really dislike caulking and find it's really tough to get a professional look. A few years ago I moved from manual caulk guns to a pneumatic unit and that was a good improvement. The negative there was being connected to an air line and the flow was inconsistent (constant air pressure doesn't equal constant plunger movement). This thing just nails it. The speed adjustment is perfect (I only really use it at about a 1-2 and the output is super consistent. I've put about 10 tubes of caulk through this in the first couple days and it's a game changer. Also, the M12 seems to be plenty. No need for the bulk and weight of the M18 setup.

For anyone wondering if it works on windshield urethane like I was, I can confirm that it worked just fine dispensing betaseal U428+HV (high viscosity) without any preheating. Not sure if the motor/gearing will hold up like the M18 does, but it does work. It's lighter than the M18, which was the main reason behind getting the M12, but with a tiny 2.0 battery installed, all the weight is up top so it's not as well balanced in the hand. Might try out the 4.0 battery to see if it makes for a better weight to balance.

I never thought I would need or use this, but an engineer friend recommended it. It is great! The bead control is phenomenal. It makes finishing easy….no more huge globs of caulk to smooth out. The auto backup is surprisingly useful too….that each bead does not end with excess product. Also, if you are doing a large job, your hands will thank you for this purchase

It's not the panacea that I had expected. I bought this mid-way through prepping and painting my back wall. I have a super old home that required a lot of prep and a lot of caulking. I assumed that this would pay for itself, so to speak, on that job alone, as far as speed and hand fatigue were concerned. We ended up using a $15 lightweight no-drip version more so than this. This is large and heavier than the traditional guns, obviously. When you pull the trigger it begins moving the "stepper motor" forward, at an adjustable rate, which is nice. When the trigger is released the stepper motor is reversed just a notch to stop the caulk. It does work. But if you start and stop a lot, it's not all that helpful. It slows you down, in fact. If you have long lines to run, this would be suitable and useful. The more intermittent your applications are, IMO, the less useful this is.

The media could not be loaded. La herramienta no funcionó, ya probé con varias baterías originales con carga completa y no funciona, lamentablemente cuando la quise utilizar había pasado un día de límite para realizar la devolución, veré que se puede hacer para no perder mi inversión
Attention mechanics!
Note: My review of this tool is being written from a mechanics perspective.What can I say, it’s another reliable Milwaukee tool at a reasonable price with good quality and warranty to back it up.HOWEVER… as a transmission mechanic I wish this gun would have had a few more fine tuning features. I use this gun everyday with 10 oz high temp silicone tubes for oil pan rails and it does function nicely once you learn how to use it, but it took me some time to finesse. On the slowest setting the silicone comes out a nice rate of speed BUT it takes forever for the silicone to come out due to the automatic 1/4 inch drawback/ pressure release. I find using this on speeds 2.5-3 and ramming the trigger fully at startup to get the silicone out and then feathering the variable speed trigger to control your flow works the best for me but it can be tricky at times and you really have to focus on the trigger control.I think this tool was definitely designed more for carpentry/construction/Reno's as generally speaking a higher rate of flow would be required and that “lag” wouldn’t be there at startup. Am I using this tool out of its designed use? Maybe? If Milwaukee released an identical gun with more speed settings and a shorter drawback on the pushrod I would definitely consider upgrading. Until then I think this is a decent tool for my application!Quality 10/10Functionality 10/10Design 8/10 due to lack of settings for my applicationHope this helps!

Es un excelente quipo sin duda, de robusta construcción y muy fuerte, el sistema de antigoteo opera bien, al igual que su dial de velocidad variable de avance funciona como dice, este equipo es muy útil para cuando uno pretende colocar tiradas de silicón/pegamento muy largas, pasadas del metro o de poca precisión (pegar locetas y azulejos), no es un equipo que este pensado para detener y arrancar de forma continua debido a que el sistema antigoteo se retira demasiado y hace que al rearrancar tarde mucho, eso en tiradas cortas es una pesadilla, realizar trabajos de precisión como canceles de baño no es útil incluso en la velocidad mas baja se tendrán problemas de dosificación en exceso, el sistema que anuncia sobre el giro de 360grados no funciona durante la aplicación, que si es cierto que se pueda rotar libremente antes de comenzar a dosificar, NO recomiendo este equipo si los trabajos que tienes pensado hacer son de precisión como canceles de baño y eso, en espacios reducidos, una aplicación limpia y si no tienes experiencia en trabajos de esta indole. razones por la cual la devolví ya que no es útil como se anuncia. una buena pistola de calafateo manual dará mejores resultados
