I tried for years to get our vet to issue punch cards for their dogs who are frequent anal gland clients, where every 8th or 10th visit would be FREE. The amount of money we have shelled out to take our dog in to have this done so frequently, is unbelievable! The vet always told me to try some canned pumpkin mixed into the dogs food which we used. We did not notice any improvement. Our vet never issued the punch cards like some vet practices do. Instead their prices increased and increased. I finally left the practice and now have a vet who charges half the amount! In fact he is who recommended I try Glandex, explaining that some dogs, or breeds, just don't empty their anal glands on their own. So, reluctantly, I gave Glandex a try, and to my amazement, it has helped tremendously! Our dog went over 2 1/2 months before I took her in, and when I did, her anal glands were just moderately full! I know she feels better, and we never see her scooting or smelling stinky. She loves all the flavors and thinks they are treats. I recommend Glandex 100%!

I have a pit bull and that breed is known to have problems with their anal glands. I have bought these a few times and they help tremendously. No expensive vet bill for me! My dog likes them as well. Eats them like treats

These really help my dog. She had a fishy odor and after I started giving her these the odor has completely gone away.

The product has helped but hasn't solved the issue. We still have to return to the veterinary once a week.

This works so great for my older lab. She has gland issues so we give her these twice a day and it helps her tremendously!She loves the taste and they are soft for her. They are not too big either so I don’t have to worry about her choking on them. We buy the peanut butter flavor.

I started my 13 year old Bichon Frise/ShihTzu mix on these a couple months ago, because apparently her floor scooting is due to weak anal glands. The vet recommended these because I was paying $50 every 3 weeks to get her glands expressed. They were so full! So we tried them and a month in I still had to take her back to the ver and I told him I was using these and they werent working. He said be patient, it can take 6 weeks to kick in. Well here we are on the end of month 2 and no scooting! I am SO happy! They do the job and I highly recommend!

Ive taken forever to right this review because I actually wanted to see if it worked, I've been using this for over a year. I have a 35lb beagle and she has chronic soft stool so she cant express herself and she was smelling like fish every month. The vet said its unhealthy to express her every month and recommended this product. She doesn't smell like fish anymore and she doesn't do the constant licking anymore either. We give her 2 a day and she thinks they are treats and loves them. At first she had diarrhea but that went away after 2 days and while it makes her stool firmer, she still has to get expressed manually every 6 months at the vet and they are usually full, but not to the point of before. I have recommended this to everyone I know who has this issue. We give her 2 a day and the tub last a month. I almost didnt want to write a review so they dont sell out but then again I don't want pups or dog parents to suffer like we did.

The product actually is working. I was getting my pup anal glands expressions every 4 weeks. Using this product, I am now up to 6 weeks with no scooting or need to visit the Vet for expression. Delighted!!

Angefangen hatte ich im Juli mit den Kautabletten - jeden Tag morgens zusammen mit dem Hauptfutter bzw. mittags als Leckerlie zwischendurch. Da die Packung aber für nur etwa einen Monat reicht und man in dieser kurzen Zeit keine richtige Beurteilung abgeben kann, habe ich anschließend das Pulver bestellt, was viel länger hält, da ich bei meinem 10 kg-Mix nur etwa 1/4 Teelöffel dem Futter beimische.Ich kann nun, nach etwa 4 Monaten täglichem zufüttern, sagen, dass es wirklich hilft! Die Symptome (permanentes belecken und rutschen) sind schon nach etwa 2 Monaten deutlich besser geworden. Mittlerweile würde ich sogar sagen, dass sie überhaupt nicht mehr auftreten.Doch wie das leider oft so bei (pflanzlichen) Tierarznei-Produkten ist: es ist von Hund zu Hund unterschiedlich ob es Wirkung zeigt oder nicht... daher einfach selbst testen! Bei meinem Hund funktioniert es wunderbar.
