I can’t imagine starting my day without my 1883 Vanilla Syrup. It’s my go-to for adding the perfect touch of sweetness and flavor to my morning coffee. After trying a few different brands, this one has become my favorite, and I’ve been ordering it regularly ever since.Pros:Perfect Flavor: The vanilla flavor is rich, smooth, and not overpowering. It blends beautifully with both hot and iced beverages, giving my coffee the perfect amount of sweetness without tasting artificial.Quality Ingredients: I appreciate that it’s preservative-free, gluten-free, vegan, non-GMO, and kosher. It’s comforting knowing I’m using a high-quality product, and it aligns with my dietary preferences.Versatility: Whether I’m making hot coffee, iced lattes, or even mixing it into baked goods, this syrup is incredibly versatile. I got the cardamom syrup to have in lattes. Unfortunately there’s almost no cardamom flavor present. Thought it was perhaps getting lost in the coffee but even when I pumped it into a clean spoon, it just tasted like simple syrup.Revising my review - as the bottle emptied a bit the flavor began getting stronger. I found that upon shaking the bottle, the flavor got much better and stronger - and consistent.I’d buy it again.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:While my kitchen was out of commission for repairs, I decided to give 6 of Bolo's top rated brands a try and do a home taste test. This one came in as a close/tied for 2nd.Ingredients:Definitely a natural syrup using a real vanilla extract (not imitation); however, the vanilla is very, very subtle. For this price point, the vanilla should kick you in the teeth.Taste:A very smooth and non-overpowering syrup. Value for money:Worth it if you get the glass bottle for other purposes. I am using it for finished homemade vanilla extract (although inside of the neck there is a damper that slows the syrup pour, it works perfect for pure liquids).

The bottle is glass and the packaging is so done that it could be dropped from a 13 story building and not crack! The flavor is simply the best if you like coconut you’ll love this! You can use it with anything to give it a splash of flavor! The price you pay can’t be beat! It’s worth every penny! I’ve been purchasing this for over 5 years now and don’t plan on stopping!

I had a lavender latte at a Fairmont hotel and this is the syrup they used. I thought it was pretty good, so I decided to try this out to see how it compares to other lavender syrups I've tried.I know it's a toxic purple color, but I was hoping the taste would offset my paranoia about Red40. Unfortunately the ingredients are as follows:cane sugar, water, flavouring, colourings: allura Red AC, E133. Allura Red AC may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.Lavender isn't even a listed ingredient - it's probably just artificial flavoring made from chemicals. I also bought the violet version which came in a glass bottle. The lavender syrup is in a plastic bottle.My other current lavender syrup is by Portland Syrups. The ingredients for that is: Filtered Water, Organic Can Sugar, Organic Whole Lavender, Butterfly Pea Flower, Organic Lavender Flavor Extract (Organic Cane Alcohol, Organic Flavors), Citric Acid.If I taste the syrup straight, the Portland Syrup version definitely tastes like real lavender. The 1883 version tastes artificial. If I add the syrup to coffee, the 1883 version is OK and the Portland Syrups tastes a little too bitter/soapy.It might just be the coffee I'm using (dark roast currently). I'll use the 1883 syrup I guess for the next year, but then I'll probably go back to using syrups that use real lavender. But props to the 1883 for transparency.
Where's the butterscotch?
Sugar syrup. If there is butterscotch flavor, I certainly can't taste it.If you are the seller (Brand: Maison Routin), I would like my money back or send me something that has flavor. I can't return this for obvious reasons and there is not an option where I can write to you directly. So I am stuck with something that is truly appalling.Hope you read the reviews because I prefer not to contact Bolo directly and waste their time. You have three days to contact me.
