Special note, the key for the deadbolt installs as expected but the door knob will be upside down. needed to rekey and entire house, bought 7 lock sets, each set came with a unique key and a 5 digit number (printed on both boxes), also a little tool and instructions for rekeying. I picked one to be the common key for all of the lcoks. and rekeyed all the other locks to that key. Then I made several copies of that key at the hardware store, then tested every copied key on every now-keyed-alike lock, they all worked, so I installed them all in the house. I kept all the unused brand new different keys and the tools so next time I need to rekey the whole house I will just rekey them all to a different key from the batch I have saved. rekeying the two locks in a set takes less time than writing this review.

The front door lock broke, so I had to replace it. I'd been using the old one for over 20 years, so I really wanted to stick with the same brand.Unlike the old one, this new lock has a smart key function, which was a huge financial benefit because I could keep using the four existing keys I already had.The installation was super quick, just like it said in the manual; I was able to replace both locks within 10 minutes. I expect to get at least another 20 years of good use out of this one!

I have installed hundreds of locks in my time. And, these are absolutely the worst quality in a lock that I have ever seen. Everything about it just shouts cheap, and poor quality. Very difficult to install, the machine screws are rough. Nothing lines up and everything feels loose. Personally, I am sorry that I purchased these locks. I don't like them. I originally gave these locks 2 stars. But, I came back and took a star away. My key got stuck in the lock. Had to throw both the key and the lock away. I'm so sorry I purchased these.

Easy to install, good quality, love the re-key feature and anti-bump
I picked this product because of the anti-bump feature and the re-key capability, the instructions are embedded inside the plastic wrap, not sure why people couldn’t find it, or heard of google search.It is so easy to install, obviously with the right tools.If you are retro-fitting it into existing door there may be adjustment to be made if the previous installation were not done in the standard way. I have seen complaints about people struggle to put the screws on 😂, just put the screws on both side by hand, then slowly tighten one side by a bit and move to other side a bit using a screw driver, keep each side loosen while keeping the plate back to have some room for the screw driver to make contact with the screw, don’t screw one side all the way in while leaving the other side loose.If you are not capable doing it yourself, just hire someone. Took me under 5 minutes to replace an existing lock.
Didn't Fit
Lock looks nice and instructions are adequate. Bought to replace an old Gainsborough lock and deadlock that sits flush over the face hole cut in my old (jarrah) front door.What you cannot see in the product images on Bolo is that the Kwikset deadlock has an inner metal lip that has to fit inside the hole! It didn't fit: too big (see above). So back it went. Bought a new Gainsborough deadlock ( more expensive).The Kwikset doorlock sits flush over its face hole and wasn't an issue.If you have a new door, it doesn't matter, just cut the entry hole to the right size. For an old door, you have no margin for error ! Deadlocks like the Gainsborough are much more forgiving as it is physically larger and covers pre-existing face holes of different sizes.
Disappointed for the seller
So disappointed. Received the lock with marks and scratch .at the end I install everything , The keys doesn’t match with one of the lock. So I have to uninstall the new locks and put my old locks back. Now I have to drive to post office to drop it off and return. Just wasting my time
