The statement "Don't go for the less expensive knockoff" applies to this product. I made the mistake and came back for the legitimate Gyro Pen. So, now you don't need to pay twice like I did.

It's a good idea but definitely is a learning curve. I have tried a few times, and haven't gotten the hang of it yet.

The media could not be loaded. Absolute waste of money. Wanted to cut out number nine easily for my son‘s nine year old birthday and this didn’t cut at all. It ripped through the paper and had a really hard time rotating. I tried holding the tool in different areas and different pressure on the paper and nothing worked. Don’t waste your money.

I watched several videos on using this gyro cut before actually ordering it. I knew there would be a learning curve but I loved the thought of being able to get better and closer cuts than a pair of scissors. This is easy to hold and use. It did take me a couple of times of using it but once I got the hang of it, it worked really well. The trick is to put the pointed side of the blade on what you want to cut and then start moving the blade along the area you want to cut. I was able to get really good cuts with this.

I really like this product it took a lot of practice to get the hang of it but once you do it’s a wonderful little tool. I think it’s important to know you might have to go through a couple of these Guyro Cuts in the learning process as to much pressure makes it snap and break. I returned it and requested another one. Hopefully understanding to much pressure will break it I can be much more gentle with it and make it last.Here is the update the second picture is my second tool I have learned to keep the pressure on the tip of the metal part of the tool and not on the plastic also use a matte that spins and always keep the direction of the tool pulling down towards you instead of turning the tool turn the paper as this keeps the pressure off the plastic part of the tool. I love this thing I’ll be back in 30 days with my final thoughts.

Wow... I was blown away by how easy it is to use! I saw the gyro cutter online and i knew i had to order one for myself. It cuts paper very smoothly. When using this product though i recommend putting something under what you are cutting because sometimes when the blade cuts all the way through it can damage the surface you are working on. Great blade, doesn't dull easily, replaced my pair of scissors! **HIGHLY** recommend.
