I didn’t understand why, I wash my hair everyday in the mornings before work, and at night before going to sleep. I’m a heavy sweater with oily skin. I tried multiple shampoos, sometimes spending $50 plus on bottles to see if they would rid of the bumps, nothing seemed to work and this went on for a couple of years. When I would get haircuts, I would have to remind my barber about the bumps so he wouldn’t shave too close or else the bumps would bleed, this happened a few times and got me to the point I would be apprehensive about getting a haircut. When I did get a haircut, the bumps were very noticeable causing me to be self conscious about my issue, a couple of my friends even noticed and mentioned the bump (so embarrasing!) I’m not sure why I even tried this shampoo, but luckily I did. This Neutrogena shampoo was the cure. I first purchased this product back on August in 2024, within 4-6 weeks of using this shampoo daily, my bumps and irritations are no longer! Thank you Neutrogena!!!! It’s now June of 2025 and it’s the only shampoo I will ever use. It’s a small bottle at 4.5 ounces, but it last me about a month, because you don’t have to apply a lot, and again I wash my hair twice a day. I would pay 4 times the amount if I had to, because this truly solved my issue. My hair feels clean after washing it, doesn’t leave any weird odors and it works. This $7.50 bottle of shampoo has been a god send to me. Definitely try it if you have a similar issue. Give it time to work, nothing works instantly, took me 4-6 weeks to get my results.

So one of the joys of aging that no one tells you about is that you get super oily during menopause. The acne is way worse than I remember having as a teenager. My scalp has pimples now because of my oily skin. Yep, you read that correctly. It's super gross. I feel like I've been coated with Crisco sometimes.I bought this to degrease my head. It has helped with my newly acquired scalp pimples and also the fun acne outbreak that I keep getting on the hairline on the back of my neck.Definitely recommend for the greasy, hot flashy women out there.

I don't really find this to be all that therapeutic to my scalp at all. But I have to say, I actually love the scent (I noticed others say they disliked it). I mean, I actually love it! Plus it lathers up like nothing I've ever seen before. Now, does that mean it's full of chemicals? I have no idea...I still haven't read the ingredients list. Will I purchase it again? Hmm, not sure. I had purchased two bottles. The price was reasonable considering they were shipped to me, although the bottle size is quite small. But you don't need much at each wash. Anyway, I probably won't purchase again just because of the price and because I simply don't feel it refreshed my scalp at all. (I put it on as soon as I get in the shower, and leave it on as I wash the rest of me so that it can stay on my scalp for several minutes, yet it doesn't seem to matter). Nevertheless, I still like it. But won't buy again due to $.

I bought this because I started noticing some dandruff, especially near the roots, and I needed something that truly worked.Since I started using it twice a week, I’ve seen a huge difference: less itching, less flaking, and my scalp feels much cleaner.The bottle is small (4.5 oz), but a little goes a long way – I only apply it to the roots, then wash with my regular shampoo.I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a real, fast-working solution. In my case, it made a 100% difference. I’ll definitely keep using it!

It must be an early review but basically I have trouble with my scalp being dry. I used the same shampoo over the years because it’s the only one I’m not allergic to. And I began to feel like my scalp itches to where by sideburns when I scratch I see shampoo residue and that I had itchy scalp like something crawling.I’ve only used this once but hopefully it’ll improved. As it says used twice a week, but so far with only one use, I have already felt something different, my scalp feels moisture and not dry and that when I ran my fingers I felt about 3 places where the scabs had dried up.Hopefully this will help stop with the hair falling because maybe I have dry scalp.Will update more later

I wish they still sold this in stores! I swear this is the only product that works for my scalp Psoriasis. The scent is strong and not pleasant, but I’m telling you it stops the itching and helps with the dryness. Use a good smelling conditioner after the shampoo and you’re golden! My hair always feels clean after I use this!

I used to get soreness on my scalp, flaking and dry skin after shampooing and after a day, my scalp is super itchy and oily. Even though i washed twice a day, i was getting this and it was soooo frustrating.After research i looked for shampoos with salylicic acid and this Neutrogena one is awesome!! There is no smell and it lathers up well so you don’t need much at a time. During the wash, i did not feel the soreness and post wash my scalp felt so free; like it could breathe again!! Its the second day now and my scalp is not oily or itchy and no hairs falling out too. Will definitely buy again!!

Soothes my itchy scalp and hair wasn't too dry after using. Didn't help the hair flaking problem very much tho. Bottle is very small, considered expensive.
