The origin of Jujube (Ziziphus Jujuba) is China. Trees of Jujube species reach a height of 10 meters. Woody Jujube species have a hemispherical openwork crown. Ziziphus Jujuba has thick, dark gray or anthracite black bark. Young representatives have smooth bark, but over time, it becomes covered with cracks. The leathery leaves of Jujube are alternate, sessile, have an ovoid shape with serrated edges, reaching a length of 2 to 5 centimeters. Jujube blooms profusely; up to 300 flowers can be counted on one bush. Jujube fruits can be ellipsoidal, rounded, pear-shaped or spherical in shape.

To get the full effect you have to use it at least 2 or 3 weeks before you will notice a difference.Look up benefits and side effects for this and other tinctures.They dont all work with medicines safely.I like the results but all humans different.

I use Jujube to wind down to sleep w/ homeopathic pills. It doesn't feel like a sedative but gentle, overall relaxant for mind and body.

I use jujube for adrenal support and usually does wonders. The tinctures didn't work very well. I tried both the alcohol and non-alcoholic one. The alcoholic one have me a headache and hurt my stomach. I couldn't get the pill form of jujube in as it's been out of stock for weeks so this got me by. Better than nothing but not a good substitute.

Since I've been on Ambien for over twenty years, it's hard to find something that will even put a dent in my insomnia. This may work for some, but it doesn't do anything for me.

The media could not be loaded. I had a bad insomnia case where sleeping even 1 hour was impossible for 4-5 days straight, let alone getting to REMS. I started to research and it all mostly comes down to glucose metabolism. Jujube is nothing like Quetiapine, but little by little it started to improve my sleep by sedating the CNS without profound side effects - much better than using neurotoxic anticholinergics. Give this a try if all else fails, before embarking the road of neuroleptics.
