These organic Madagascar vanilla beans are excellent quality and worked perfectly for making homemade vanilla extract. From the moment I opened the package, I could tell they were fresh and well cared for.Quality & Freshness:The beans are plump, moist, and very aromatic—not dry or brittle at all. They were easy to split and packed with vanilla caviar, which is exactly what you want when making extract or baking.Flavor & Aroma:The aroma is rich and authentic, and the flavor is outstanding. After steeping, the extract developed a deep, smooth vanilla flavor that far surpasses store-bought versions. We have bought these a couple of times now, primarily to make homemade vanilla extract. The beans arrive vacuum sealed and consistently look and smell excellent right out of the package. They are long, dark, and very pliable, with plenty of visible seeds inside, which lines up well with the stated moisture content. These are clearly not dried out or brittle beans.Most of our use has been for extract rather than baking. We have not settled on a single extraction method yet, but our usual approach is soaking split beans in glass jars with 151 proof alcohol. This last batch we mixed things up and used a combination of 151, vodka, and Captain Morgan spiced rum in separate jars. We let everything rest for about six months before checking on them, and all batches developed a strong vanilla aroma and deep color as expected.Flavor wise, these have the classic Madagascar profile. Rich, creamy, and very aromatic. They work well regardless of the alcohol used, though the higher proof extracts do seem to pull flavor a bit faster and more intensely. The beans themselves hold up well over long soaks and do not turn mushy or lifeless.Do not let the package size fool you. Fifty beans go a long way if you are making extract in multiple jars, and the overall value here is very solid given the quality. As long as you plan to use them fully, especially for extract, these are a very good buy and we have been happy enough to reorder.

I have purchased these beans several times to make extract for myself and gifting. They are superior quality, have a rich aroma, and make the best tasting rich, buttery, vanilla for all of your baking needs.

first time purchasing vanilla beans and was told to get the best. Researched and purchased these. these beans were very fresh and a little over 5 inches long. Seemed right on the mark that approx 10 beans was 1 oz as needed for 8 oz vodka. will purchase again

These beans are making my vanilla extract. They are not as plump as Tahitian beans but working magic in my extract. They are super moist, and come in a vaccuum sealed bag. They are nice and brown and smell amazing.

Beans had moisture to them the smell of the vanilla is very strong and delicious. Beans were dark in color and all about the same size. But $30 for 50 beans is rather expensive compared to going to the manufacturer website and ordering directly from them.

I am so pleased with this purchase! The beans were fresh, plump and moist and they made the most luxurious vanilla paste! I did dry a few and put them in a coffee grinder to make vanilla powder for recipes that you don't want to add extra liquid into. As of Christmas I have used enough that I am considering when in 2026 I will be purchasing more because I've really been spoiled using the paste! Yes I'm a baker and a goodie maker. After making Christmas plates I spread out all of the separate containers of cookies and candy on my kitchen table and put little red decorative plates for my family to just start helping themselves even though it's not Christmas Eve yet. I didn't realize that I had made 16 different varieties in the last few weeks! No wonder I'm falling asleep by 8:00 p.m! I will definitely purchase from this company again!
