Clorox Pool&Spa All-in-One XtraBlue Chlorinating Granules should be applied daily or as needed to maintain free chlorine levels of 1 to 4 parts-per-million. Before applying, always test your pool water to get a reading of your free chlorine level. Add 2 to 4 ounces of All-in-One XtraBlue Chlorinating Granules per every 10,000 gallons of water to the pool skimmer. Alternatively, for white plaster pools you can also add directly to the pool water in deepest end of your pool. Be sure to brush any visible product to ensure it dissolves. I tossed the required amount in for startup this spring and was amazed. A few floor cleanings with the pool robot and we were good to go. Very disappointed. Just opened the large container and it wasn’t even half full. It was not alot of money however that’s not the point. Why is it only barely half full is the point. Not sure if it leaked out of the box when shipping cause there was a decent hole in the lid and the box had remnants of the product all in it or if it is just not full when shipped. Whatever the reason it’s really unacceptable.

No guidance for spa owners on container, in product description, or within the application. "One pound for 10,000 gallons" doesn't help with our 240 gallon spa. Turns out ours uses 0.384 ounces or about 1/2 tablespoon. Beyond inconvenience, this is a safety issue. When compared to a 15,000 gallon pool, it's pretty easy to over-chlorinate a small spa. How hard can it be to add a few sentences to the instructions? The calculator on the Clorox application won't accept less thatn 1,000 gallons. That seems like a fairly easy programming fix, too.
