The lace is actually pretty thick and sturdy, so it's able to hold up to some use. I took it to renfaire for an almost 10 hour day and it was perfect. Blocked the sun, kept me cool, no damage from wear and tear, looks beautiful. It's also really easy to open and close, which was nice when you have to put it away really quick. It's well worth the price, and I will be keeping it for future events.

Love it. Use it all summer to keep the sun off of me. I get lots of compliments on it as well. Good quality, size, and opens and closes easily and provides great sun protection to keep me pale. Material is good thickness, no rips.

Yes, buy this! Bought for the Renaissance Faire, has gone with me several seasons. Holds up well. My only disappointment is lack of a strap handle. I recommend buying one to add to it, so you can attach to a belt or back pack. I've gotten many compliments. Much cheaper to buy here then as the faire!

It's alright. Would have been good if there was,a tie around. Once you close it, there is no tie around and there is no bag/sheath o protect it
