work bench works well, construction of table is limited in quality but has been holding up to light work on table. I would recommend buying. Had to send back to Bolo for missing parts. Purchased at home depot for 23.00 less.

I watched several videos to help me decide if this brand of portable bench / vice was the thing I was looking for. In doing so, I mostly discovered unhelpful videos from ham-fisted "Harry homeowners". I gleaned what little I could from the videos and took a risk. I first ordered, and promptly returned, the 125. The 125 was built incorrectly from the factory. Hoping for better build quality, I moved up to the 225. The 225 was better built, but has three issues of its own. First, the frame is warped; making use of the right side latching handle tricky. Second, the slots on the more warped side are not punched quite correctly; making that side of the three position jaw bind upon removal. Third, the holes designated for the handle pins are of two different diameters. I didn't need the pins to retain the flimsy handles; which will surely get damaged through occasional use. I used two spare #6 bolts; as to more easily be able to replace said handles. Neither did I use the directions. If you need the directions to assemble this assuredly easy to build work bench, you may want to first take pause and reconsider performing whatever DIY project you may have been considering in conjunction with your Workmate.

Pictures to assemble might look confusing, but it's not, stop and look at the picture then check the part your adding, take your time. Simple enough if you just take the time to compare part to picture, or watch the yt vids on it.What I did to get the pins into the handle was to just turn it sideways on the floor, add a screw into the white plastic so it's sticking out of the slot, makes it easier to grab. Takes a min to get the best position so one finger is holding the screw in place, turn the handle part so the pin hole is facing up, align the handle with the pinhole, hold it with the thumb and tap the pin into the aligned parts with a regular hammer.It's a pain but doable.

I own a vintage 1978 Workmate 79-001 Type 4, and just bought this Workmate 225 to expand my shop. Here are my thoughts...In my opinion, the Workmate 225 model has some real advantages over the vintage model. 225 is much easier to unfold, carry, and move around. 225 is half the weight of the vintage model, yet is just as sturdy and stable. The 225 unfolding assembly is much better engineered so unfolding is effortless. I always arm wrestle with the vintage model to get it to open.The 225 wood vice top is half the thickness of the vintage model, so I plan to add my own 1.5" removable plywood top to the 225 to make them both the same height (so I could use the 225 as an out-feed table) as I will be using both Workmates for some projects.I had no problem following the 225's printed assembly instructions (but I also cheated and watched a 2 minute B&D assembly video on YouTube).The only real issue I have with the 225 is that one of the black plastic struts that supports the rear wood top was damaged at the factory (excess plastic in the threaded hole). I tried drilling out the excess plastic, but this unfortunately also stripped the threads. So I ordered a bag of replacement parts on Bolo-- which actually comes with additional bench dogs, so it's not all bad.

Terrible directions! Some of the photos don't match. There are two sets of two parts that are very similar looking and because of the way the pictures are printed in black it's hard to tell which is which. The pins were really tough to get in without hitting them really super hard repeatedly with a hammer. We did look online and a lot of other people had the same problem so it wasn't just us . Would have been much easier to have cotter pins or set screws with this kit. We've used these before they're nice items. Black and Decker really should just have these assembled where you can just pull it out of the box. Probably would not buy one again for that reason . So just be aware it's going to take a while to get assembled and you may get pretty frustrated and we're both hardcore DIY-ers

Bought this for my husband for Father’s Day and he really likes to use it. Product was easy to assemble and stores easily. He is able to work on projects in our apartment and not ruin my dining table anymore. The clamps are a definite plus so things don’t slip away.Perfect fit for a New York apartment. It is strong and stable and versatile.

La tabla de atrás se monta sobre la del frente. ¿Es posible que haya tenido un error al armarla?
