The stock mount doesn’t allow me to fine tune focus and always gives me a blurry photo, especially when you compare the results with ones “scanned” using a DSLR. This wet mount solved the problem perfect. I finally can get even the grains on the film.

The Epson Fluid Mount Accessory for V850 provided an outstanding way to use the Epson Scanner with negatives from the 1960's. These negatives were very small (Minox) and were given up as lost, however with the fluid mount, the negatives were digitized and prints came out of excellent quality. I highly recommend the use of a fluid mounting system if you are into old, odd, or damaged negatives.

If you want to get the most out of your Epson V850/V800 Perfection scanner, then I highly recommend using this wet mount bed. You can scan the full negative (I'm scanning 4x5, 120 and 35mm) without losing any edge detail and the wet mount helps tame curled or bent films while the fluid helps bring out the most from the film's emulsion. I use 91% Isopropyl alcohol and a very thin, optically clear mylar sheet instead of more costly fluid mount oils and scanning sheets.

Good price and solid construction
Went for the Epson fluid mount after Better Scanning didn't reply to my order for their version.I'm glad I did, it is a well built and quality mount. Packaging was way above what was needed so it arrived in perfect condition and makes perfect safe storage between jobs.
