Awesome product, slight weird odor

I used this to Air dam the top ridge of my shed...more as belt and suspenders and the exterior had 2 layer of waterproofing so the heavy bead was mostly cosmetic. I also used it under some trim around a window and door. I let it dry before I trimmed out the interior. It takes a lot longer to dry that chalk but that makes sense as it feels much denser.

Use to seal around windows and other wall penetrations on the interior of your house. Don’t use on exterior or exposed surfaces. Way better than just spray foam

This single component, Silyl-Terminated-Polymer (STP) is easy to gun and tool in all weather conditions.Installed as the interior air sealant, R-Guard AirDam creates a long lasting, weather-tight seal that prevents moist outside air from entering, and conditioned indoor air from escaping around window and door assemblies. This ensures that wind driven rain and condensed water are diverted to the flashing membrane and the water resistive barrier before it can enter the living space.

Similar to my favorite exterior sealant (quadmax) in that it's an SMP formula but Airdam is a little softer and stretchier. It also flows a little better. Doesn't skin over and cures slower. Definitely feels like the right product to cram into air gaps, both before and after curing. Use a tool to tool. If you use your finger it will stick to everything you look at. I have a bunch of metal cake frosting spatulas that work great. You can avoid the sealant stalactites by pulling partly away and doubling back until they break. I hate spray foam, this is a great alternative.

Product only good for one year. I received expired product.Update!!!! I have found out I was reading the expiration date wrong. The date on the package is actually the patent date. To read the production date you look at the last 5 digits of the lot number. The first 2 are year and the other 3 are the day of the year it was made. So 21134 is year 21 and 134th day of 2021. Hope this helps
