Occasional snack or emergency (or hiking) food? yes. Definitely, absolutely yes. Imma gonna stock up.I think the small can is the perfect portion size for a half a tube of ritz crackers. I am not entirely sure what else to use it on. It can probably be doctored up with some spices. Dip celery sticks in it. Maybe as a side for eggs and toast. chicken and pork is like a pate spread..almost like deviled ham but it was too watery and not granular and full of flavor salts to make it the same. My cat ate some and I was able to get a few sandwiches done. Small cans.

Used to eat this years ago and it wasn’t bad. Now? It’s so damn salty as to be inedible. Also runnier than I remember. I can’t believe Armour is marketing this crap, are you boys even tasting your own product? It’s a shame when the potted meats from the UK and Croatian countries are so superior to ours just because Armour doesn’t give a damn anymore. Pass up this inedible slop and buy the European stuff, yes it’t more expensive but not when you consider Armour’s product is just bad. It’s time for someone at Armour to get fired.

This is a good pate type meat product to have on hand for emergencies. It's good to have on hand in case you can't find lunch meats at your local store. It's high in calories and fat and requires no refrigeration which makes it a good option to keep on hand for use during natural disasters and emergencies. If you're out of power for several days you might get sick of tuna and peanut butter. My father loved potted meat and used to get me to fix his sandwiches so I know how to add ingredients to elevate it a bit. You can add mayo or mustard. Add a pinch of nutmeg or add some re-hydrated dehydrated onions. I personally like it on a potato roll with a bit of mayo and pickle relish or with mustard and lettuce on a roll or sandwich bread. It's good on bread or crackers. If you look at the MREs from a lot of the European countries they often contain canned pates. With the current ongoing random food shortages caused by supply issues and Omicron as well as the War and global uncertainty it might make a lot of sense to keep potted meat on hand for a few months, buy some crackers too.
