I have a strange reaction using coconut oil on my skin as a moisturizer....I start to SMELL....I start to smell pretty bad anywhere it is been applied! I was baffled as to why this happens to me and looked up my problem on the internet.There was one possible explanation that I thought may apply to me: Apparently, some people's skin reacts negatively to coconut oil (makes a spoiled smell) if their ancestors did not originate from a location where coconuts thrived. This makes sense...my ancestors originated from the land of little sunlight and a coconut was likely a rare sight to be seen.I was very disappointed in this discovery because I had heard such great things about using coconut oil as a facial moisturizer. As for this coconut oil being fractionated, it made little difference to me. I actually purchased this fractionated coconut oil in hopes that my skin would not stink with it, since I had already tried and smelled with non-fractionated coconut oil. Bottom line: this is a great product for most, but for the few with my situation....it stinks ):I rated it as a 4, not because of my nearly unique problem, but just because it is very costly compared to other brands.

good quality i believe.my face has actually done very well with this brand mixed with some sweet almond oil and 33% tea tree oil, no flare up or breakouts and no dry skin like i was getting with my aloe gel mixture. it does takes awhile to soak into skin so i use this mixture before bed and by AM its all soaked in and my face is nice and soft. irs nice not having to use a heavy duty greasy face cream that i previously needed to use to keep my skin from being dry!small bottle but, i will still continue buying this doTerra coconut oil for sure.
