I'm trying to keep plastic use to a minimum, and this powdered detergent is a great value. I usually wash in cold water, and it never leaves any residue because it's so finely ground--like the consistency of baking soda. Clothes come out fresh, and the scent is very mild. I pause the wash action on really dirty clothes to let the detergent soak out the stains, and it seems to work just as well as more expensive brands--but again, the soaking may make the difference. Regarding delivery: next time I order this detergent, I will order it alone. It arrived with other stuff in the same box, and a very tiny amount of the detergent--because it's so finely ground--seeped out of the box. It was a negligible amount, but enough to make the other products in the box dusty.

We are delighted with our results. It cleans well, smells fresh, and is economical to use. We switched from sheets because they left scum in our machine, which caused problems.

I will say you do need to use some bleach in the cold water to bring the smell out, but in hot water it smells great! It works super well on my clothes and is gentle on the colors which is a plus for me as my uniform is a weird fabric. I have also noticed it doesn't clog, or leave a residue on the washer as the other types would.

I've had my last box for so long I can't even remember. You don't need very much for it to do the job and my clothes smell great without feeling oily or being overpowered. Just fresh enough for me to be happy with it.Don't buy plastic containers full of watery detergent - that stuff is a scam. This is the way to go! You can also use it to get stains out of your carpet or virtually anything - mix it with a little white vinegar and you can clean almost any stain in your house.

Why did I buy watered down, diluted laundry soap for so many years? How many hundreds of big plastic bottles have I sent to the landfills? Concentrated powdered soap in a paper box makes more sense. Now I’m a freakin’ Eco Warrior every time I do laundry!Seriously, though, this is very effective at cleaning clothes. I use less than the recommended amount in my loads and the clothes come out great. I trash my work clothes and ground in dirt has been coming out better than the results I had with liquid detergents.I combine this with powdered Oxi Clean on my whites and they are noticeably whiter than liquid soap with bleach.I’m a guy and my pronouns are “Dude” and “Knucklehead” so I can’t speak to how this will work on delicates but it works fine on cotton boxers and the rest of my duds.Conclusion: This an effective product and much more economical in my unscientific opinion.

I used to purchase the large bucket at bjs. Unfortunately they stopped carrying arm and hammer and subbed their own brand. I have used this product for decades, the smell is clean and fresh. It gets the laundry clean without striping the colors and fabric.
