The flavor is nothing short of amazing and the salt cure does not make the jerkey too salty.I use quality ground beef in a jerkey gun and this mixes very well making quality jerkey. Every time I make beef jerky, those I share it with cannot get enough.I cannot dispute the price, it is a great value for the product it makes.

Yes, this is my favorite flavor. I love how easy it is to use. I have bought a bunch of these since I started making my own jerkey. You won't be disappointed. Quality and price is great. It isn't to salty as long as you mix it up well and follow the instructions.

I have tried many other flavorings from various companies and always come back to this. For my taste Nesco makes the best jerky mix that I have found to date. I generally make 6 lbs at a time and mix 2 packs of Original and one pack of Hot and Spicy to 80 percent or better hamburger meat.

A bit on the salty side. The salt and cure are in one packet and the spice in another. When I made the second 2lb batch, I used only 3/4 of the salt+cure packet and it was more to my liking. Tip: mix it really well into the ground meat when it is very cold. Then cover with plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for 24 hours and mix it again until it's sticky. This creates a better protein extraction and a better texture after dehydrating. I've tried some other seasonings, and I like this one as a base for my other additions. Just watch the salt.
