Sometimes I add oil sometimes just water. It helps keep my skin clean, clear, and smooth. It helps clear my acne. Very effective and efficient. Great for the price. It last a long time. Adding the oil keeps it from drying out to the point where I can’t move my face. A great product for sure.

This was my first time using a bentonite mask. I had major depression for years and didn't do anything to my face except for washing it with soap in the shower.I'm 52 and I don't have many wrinkles so I have good skin. I bought a magnifying mirror and was shocked to see that every tiny pore on my face was clogged with a tiny black spot.When I washed off the mask I was amazed to see that about 96% of the pores where cleaned out and pink again. They were stretched out from all the gunk that had been in them. But they shrunk back up quickly. The little wrinkles I had were less noticeable and my skin was softer and smoother. It tightened up my skin a bit and made me look younger.I used more water than 1 part water and 1 part clay. It made it easier to spread and dried faster. And I had the results everyone else seems to haveI let it dry in the bowl and then use a spoon to scrape it into the trash so it doesn't clog my drains.

The media could not be loaded. This is by far my favorite natural calcium bentonite clay—nothing else compares to Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay. We use it regularly in our home, primarily for detox baths. I add a heaping tablespoon to the tub along with Epsom salt, vinegar, and baking soda (sodium bicarbonate), and we soak for a couple of hours. Every time, our skin comes out feeling incredibly soft, refreshed, and clean.One of the things I love most about this clay is that it helps pull toxins from the body, making it a staple in our detox routine. We also use it to make a paste for face masks and even as a detoxifying underarm mask, which has been especially helpful for transitioning to natural deodorants.It’s unscented, doesn’t irritate our skin, and doesn’t stain the bathtub—which is a huge plus! I’ve purchased this product multiple times over the years and will continue to do so. It’s my go-to clay for detoxing and self-care. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a natural, multi-use product that truly works!

It's works great. I use water with it, it says it works best with apple cider vinegar. MUST use in a non metal bowl and non metal spoon/spatula. ( You can buy plastic bowls and spoon cosmetics kit for like $5.99 or you can buy the Aztec clay kit that has the mask with bowls, spatula,etc as a set for I believe $25 or $29). I have sensitive skin use only for 5 minutes MAX. I used it for about 8 minutes before my face was very red and extremely dry, had skin irritation.

I was using “A Professional pore primer” like foundation daily for over a year. I noticed my skin significantly changed for the worse, even with the best department store facial & make up cleansers. So one day I bought a new make up mirror that had a magnifying mirror up to 10 to 15 X magnification and I was horrified from what I observed. I began researching and discovered the primer I was using had silicone in it! I had no idea a water base primer was better for your skin ignorance on my part! Nevertheless, I decided to search Bolo products as to what I can use for assistance and found this product and read excellent reviews. After one use my skin began going back to normal! It unclogged my pores they say we not supposed to squeeze, but the heck with that I was squeezing, I had silicone embedded in my pores and other gook perhaps those expensive department store cleansers that struggled unclogging my pores. This product extracted what was stuck in there! Also, once I squeezed it was like a microscopical worm coming out. The bottom line is that this product works. I will be doing my second facial after two weeks after. But again after one did the trick! Brought my skin back to normal and did I mention this peeling of my skin immediately stopped!! This is an excellent product and thank you for all the helpful reviews videos and thank you for sharing ladies! Let’s keep up the good work♥️

I bought the Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay to test as a self-care product for my lifestyle review series, and it’s hands-down one of the best face masks I’ve tried. This 1 lb tub is 100% bentonite clay, and when mixed with apple cider vinegar (as recommended), it creates a powerful deep-cleansing mask. I applied a thin layer to my face, let it sit for 15 minutes, and felt the “pulsing” sensation the brand mentions—it’s intense but not uncomfortable. After rinsing, my skin felt incredibly smooth, and my pores looked noticeably smaller, especially around my T-zone. I’ve used it weekly for a month, and it’s helped reduce oiliness without drying out my skin (I have combination skin). The tub is a great value—you only need a small amount per use, so it’ll last for months. My only tip: mix it in a non-metal bowl, as metal can reduce its effectiveness. If you’re into skincare, this clay mask is a must-try!

This is a nice mask, but I mostly use it as a detox in my armpits or in our baths. I’ve heard it helps flush out heavy metals, but I can’t attest to it. It does my my skin feel smooth afterwards.

I got this for my gf and I. She heard a lot of good stuff about this product but never tried it yet. So she's very excited when this came in the mail. She likes DIY facials so this is perfect as one of her ingredients.Pros: It's a great price for the amount of clay. The amount of clay was actually more than expected, which is awesome. We love that it's packed in a nice sturdy container, it just feels much more quality this way. She loves that it's "calcium" bentonite clay, which apparently is more healing than sodium bentonite clay she says, and also harder to find for a decent price. After trying it out with just apple cider vinegar, our skin felt soft and looks brighter. Very refreshing feeling. Some of my acne seem to have calmed down and is less red. It's been an hour now since I used the mask, and usually my face would be super oily by now - but it's not after using the clay mask.Cons: We wish there was a seal on the inside of the container because when I opened it, clay powder started to spray and pour everywhere and around the rim of the container. It's just a bit messy, but luckly its just clay so it's easy to clean.Final thought: I recommend anyone with acne to try this product, especially people with oily skin like myself. It's also great for those who are into DIY skincare stuff. The quality of this product is great and the price is amazing. I would buy again when this container runs out.

I bought this clay to make my own natural remineralizing toothpaste and also to use as a face mask. I bought the 2Lb version as it was better value than the 1Lb and it arrived packaged well with the clay was nicely filled up to the top. :) I think it's wasted packaging when you buy something that arrives in a big container only to find that there's a lot of 'air space'.First of all, it should be noted that this is CALCIUM BENTONITE clay, not SODIUM BENTONITE. Some other companies sell "Bentonite Clay" but on closer inspection, you'll realise it's sodium, not calcium. A lot of people may not realise this but it's important because it's the calcium version that has the healing and curative powers and can be safely consumed, hence used in toothpaste.This worked great! As a face mask when mixed with apple cider vinegar, you can definitely feel the tightening powers as it hardens and my skin was clearer, smoother and more toned after. Amazing. It also feels so good using only two ingredients with no preservatives. You don't need to use too much though- if I put on a very thick mask, it's pretty difficult to get off!In terms of the toothpaste, I think I need to find another recipe as my toothpaste tends to harden due to the cold but I want to stress that that's due to the coconut oil, not this clay. I feel really good using this clay to brush my teeth and have been doing it for a few months. I chose to use clay over baking soda as IMHO, it's less harsh and clay is very good at drawing out toxins in general. Sensitivity has overall decreased and my teeth feels clean and overall stronger and healthier.I can't think of any negatives except that it costs cheaper to get in America but that's besides the point. If you're wondering whether you should get it or not, it has worked perfectly for my needs and I highly recommend it!! And a container this big is gonna last me ages! :)

Great for Hair (No Shampoo)! Not sure about sensitive skin...
This is my first time trying clay masks. (I started getting into skincare over the CoVID lockdowns.) I have experimented with this a lot and come to realize that it might be slightly too irritating for my sensitive skin. At least, I need to only leave it on for no longer than 10 minutes. I'll be honest, that at first, I was leaving it on for a very long time: 30, or even 45 minutes. This was too long, which i realized but I was "gung ho" or something. (Reckless!) I would try to stick to the maximum intended time of 15 minutes if you are just starting out with this. I think the long time does dry out the skin and I don't think that was ultimately healthy for my sensitive combination skin. Maybe it would be OK if I just put it on my t-zone.Anyways, what I find this really great for is for hair masks! mixing with apple cider vinegar, I put this on my hair and leave it for about an hour, then rinse out with cool water. It leaves my hair clean and extremely soft. This is especially useful for anyone looking to transition toward "No Shampoo," because I have been able to use it once every 1-2 weeks and my hair has been very clean and actually in the best condition it's ever been in, in my life. This clay is a very helpful product for bridging the transition toward no shampoo.
