So I decided to change out the fluid. I had some trouble getting the old fluid out but adding in the new fluid was a breeze due to the spout. This feature alone made my job much easier while laying on my back under the truck. Afterwards I found my truck reacted better than I did when I bought it. I recommend using the product made for your vehicle. This wasn't cheap to buy but the results are worth it and knowing I have proper lubricant is one thing less to worry about.

Yes, this stuff is expensive. Especially when you have to buy multiple bottles of it. But the OEM stuff is always a safe bet. Used this along with the recommended Motorcraft friction modifier for the rear differential of my 2017 Mustang GT. Rear end is smooth and grippy again. Would recommend this as-expensive-as-good-Whiskey gear oil.

I got a new cover, gasket, and pinion seal to service my diff as it's time... Went with the factory Ford fluid as it's spec'd for the the truck and dont want to mess anything up as it can be expensive. The stealership charges way more than Bolo and their customer service is bad at times. Bolo got it to me quickly and damage free. As far as the "spout" its pretty common to use a pump for trans and diff service so I don't see what the big deal is. Good buy!
