Sometimes I rub my hands together like Mr. Miagyi, then grip the stick of butter to melt it. Sometimes I have to repeat the process four or five times, and that's just to soften the butter only a little bit. Now I put the butter in this Beautiful Chilli Red Dansk Kobenstyle butter warmer upper. It's so sleek, and feels smooth. The enamel really shows the world how much money you're willing to spend on unnecessary items. My wife loves it too, even though she's a terrible cook. She can warm uppa da butter now though. Anyways, it's a cool item, and I don't regret purchasing it. This is an unpaid review...I'm too honorable to take money for B.S. Reviews...unless y'all gots some money, then I'm willing to do just about anything 😉

I use the product for any recipe serving more than 4 people. It is attractive enough to put on the table.AND the lid serves as a trivet.I had inherited my mother's 4 L one (yellow) which I gave to her as a November birthday gift in 1956, my first year at U.B.C It was slightly discoloured inside, with a few chips along the top edges but otherwise, my daughter has grabbed it!!! I decided to order the 2 L model in the bright red chilie pepper colour.Was thrilled to find out that they were still available because most of the enamelware for sale is much too heavy.

I had another one of these that eventually got scratched up inside and scorched on the bottom. I use it almost exclusively for melting butter. The replacement, I am thrilled to say, is almost exactly like the original. the thickness and enamel look and feel the same. The original had the wood handle screwed into the pan, but the new one does not. However that should not make a difference in performance. The handle doesn't like the dishwasher so I will hand wash it. It is rare to find a replacement for a beloved item that has literally been worn out. Thank you Dansk for staying in business and continuing to manufacture quality.

Ordered this for Mother's Day & the delivery got mixed up, ended up at the wrong address. Customer Service pulled a miracle out & had a new order delivered to the appropriate address overnight, on time for Mother's Day. Many thanks for that!I have loved this pot for years … have worked with a hand-me-down for a decade which is still performing excellently, but has had to become dedicated to a particular task so is no longer available to everyday use ... am loving the new one just the same. I know that chefs go for heavier cast iron, which I would also prefer … yet as I age, the weight becomes just too much to move around & clean. This is a heavy enough pot to heat evenly, handles really well … goes stove top or oven as needed & is beautiful to serve from … a true winner in my book.

Very pretty, although the wood feels a bit cheap and light. I just bought this because I had an old no-brand enamel-on-steel pot like this one which needed replacing. However, this pot has one glaring flaw: the pour spout is useless. I've only used it to boil water for tea so far, and each time, no matter how fast or slow I pour, I get a puddle of boiling water on the table. If I were using it to pour melted butter, it would be even more of a hassle because I'd actually have to clean it up rather than just wipe with a towel. For such a pricey item (it is tiny, so the price is high for what you are getting), I would expect Dansk to have put a bit of thought into the pour spout, or at least just tried pouring liquid from it, once, before putting it into production. It seems like they haven't even bothered trying the design before selling it, otherwise they would have immediately noticed the problem.

This is a lot larger than I thought it was going to be. Like, large pizza large. Bigger than my biggest frying pan large. I think maybe there have at different times been different sizes of the server sold on the same page. I got the big one.Which is fine. My husband and son are giants. Fill this thing with paella or chicken parm, and there still won't be any left for me.The pan is porcelain-clad steel. Solid and heavy. Cooks very evenly on the stove or in the oven. Mine came pre-chipped, so I won't need to worry about keeping it pristine. Happy with purchase. Would buy again.

We gave our daughter one of these Dansk casseroles as a Christmas present. We have had the same one(different color) for many years and have found it VERY useful. The size is perfect for one, two or three people.It is well balanced, strong (ours has held up for over 15 years), and not too heavy.One can use it on the stove top,and in the oven.There may be a tiny bit of staining on the white enamel interior over the years, but that is the only"downer". We had also ordered her the the mini sauce pan with lid. She is very happy with both .

OK. I'll admit I'm one of those people who gets overly excited over cookware, and especially over quality cookware. I don't need the fanciest kitchen gadgetry out there, or the most modern dishes, but quality, time-tested cookware - absolutely and I'm willing to spend on it, because I know it's a good investment.I've read quite a bit on the Dansk cookware prior to my purchase. I've first encountered it in Crate & Barrel and wanted to learn more about it. And what I found is that it has quite a following - and now, I know why. It's sturdy and unique, and I can see how it will become one of those cookware pieces I pull out over and over for years to come. So I highly recommend you check it out.
