5.0 out of 5 stars Good Bar

I despaired a little bit, thinking that I'd be walking around smelling like a bag of black licorice, but after it's applied it provides a nice, subtle fragrance that isn't going to knock anyone (or you) over.Although if you enjoy eating black licorice, you'll probably be walking around hungry all day.It moisturizes well, and it seems like it's going to last for quite awhile. Would definitely recommend this.

Tired of products with ingredients and other nonsense you've never heard of? Great because I don't see the point in buying products with tons of chemicals in it. This licorice soap from the Amish is quite great. It obviously smells like licorice. If you buy this and hate licorice to begin with then...you're sad. This soap gets rid of almost everything I have managed to dirty myself up with. I work in a factory and get primer and crap on myself. This does an equal, if not BETTER job at getting rid of 'gunk' than leading brands. It's great for the beard and hair as well. It's definitely worthy of cleaning everything! It's really is organic and all of the ingredients are told to you!Cons:The product was smaller than I thought. It did say that the soaps varied between 5.6 oz. to 6.4oz. I must have received the 5.6 oz. The soap goes away quicker than you think!I want more. I advise purchasing this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good soap, could use some work though.

I like it, not too shabby. The smell is nice, the oil soothes the skin and it scrubs the grime off with the grit it has in it. The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because for nearly 9 dollars the bar isn't going to last long at all.Suggestion to buyers: Use a warm wire (a cheese cutter works too) and slice the bar into 8 sections and only use 1/8th. If you bring the whole bar in it will melt and not stop melting, especially if you don't have a "professional" soap holder to dry it out.I'm not bashing the product, I love it- but the company either needs to lower the price OR cut the bar into 4-8 pieces in order to make it easier to use.

Loved this soap. The licorice smell is delicious. And that's coming from someone who doesn't even like to eat black licorice. This soap made me smell good and feel clean. It has tiny beads in it, I forgot what they're called but they feel good against the skin. This soap also creates a thick lather which I guess is nice. I mostly enjoyed it because of the smell and texture. I could see myself buying it again.

Soap is amazing. Cleans well and leaves skin looking clean, mouterized, and healthy. No lie! Since switching to using all natural products. People are shocked when I say I'm at 33 (of course vitamins and eating heathly are a factor). These oils and ingredients are sooo good for your skin. If you workout or work out side this does an amazing job of destroying body order.

5.0 out of 5 stars Softens/Cleans Beard, Smells Great

Great scent. This is the best stuff. My beard is always so soft after cleaning w/Honest Amish soap. Other reviews are right about how quickly this will melt in water, so only use a couple swipes and get it out of the water ASAP if you want it to last. But those couple of swipes will build into a rich lather, and the scent is a nice change from all those "perfumey" soaps out there. I've tried other beard products and I'm done shopping around. Honest Amish is the deal.

Best soap for me, bar none. (See what I did there?). Seriously, Honest Amish is my go-to for all things related to taking care of my beard. I like this soap, heavy duty beard balm, and the extra grit licorice soap.Recommended? For a guy or a sideshow circus freak, this is great for beards of all sized.

I bought this because I love licorice. It smells great but keep in mind that it is not a soft soap, it has texture.Try to keep it in a case so it doesn’t stay in water for too long as it dissolves easy that way.We have bought several and I love it.Masculine macho smell!

    Not for beard but skin

My beard feels hard and not very manageable. It’s good for the skin but not so for the beard.
