It is simply the best racing documentary I've ever seen. The quality of footage is insightful and breathtaking. The human stories of why these riders risk what they do, and the wives and mothers, along with race owners and the mechanics that make the speed of these machines is captured in a heart warming and touching way. I started riding a year ago and this movie evokes everything that it means a feels to ride a bike. prospective all the thoughts that go through your mind It's a type of movie you will watch over and over again. The Irish, English accents are thick, subtitles is highly recommended, at least the first time through! I had heard about the TT races, I now realize the challenge that it is. Many of the best riders in Motor GP, marvel at what these riders do. There is a still shot in the movie of a church with its bells ringing and the still of a Sunday morning being broken with riders speeding around brick walls at top speed.Race fan or not you will love this movie, it's a must see.

excellent native 3d documentary shot in the uk. It is about motorcycle racing and it should have come out here in the u.s. But of course we didn't get it. It's region b I think. I have a all region 3d blu ray player so to me it doesn't matter what region it is. This has lots of great shots of people on motorcyles racing around. And they are engaged in a very dangerous race. The blu ray looks outstanding and has a boring flat 2d version. (as compared to the exciting 3d version visually). This is worth owning. Just check out the region before you buy it. The blu rays picture is outstanding either way you watch it. But 3d fans should want this one in their collection for sure.

Great look at some of the riders of the Isle Of Mann TT races. 3-D added a lot to my enjoyment. You will need a 3-D Blue Ray Player that will play region B discs. I purchased a universal 3-D player a few years ago so that I could enjoy some films that are not available on North American region A discs. So if you own a player that can play region B, I highly recommend this Blu-Ray.

Although this is a good look at preparations for IOM by Guy Martin and others nothing beats his On-board 5 star chase of Michael Dunlop in 2014.Still, definitely worth watching.

I am something of a motorcycle fan and enthusiast, so thoroughly enjoyed this awesome movie.But, to my surprise, my wife and my eldest daughter both really enjoyed this movie and the colorful characters that are driven to take part in one of the most exciting and dangerous motorsports races in the world.Great behind-the scenes look at the more-authentic, less-glamorous side of motorsports and what it takes to risk it all for nothing more than one's name on a plaque.Why this hasn't been picked-up for screenings and distribution here in the USA is anyone's guess.

Absolutely love this, if your a road race fan this is a must have. Just remember it is REGION B, I will say it again REGION B,you need an all region Blu-ray player to watch. And it must play A B C regions in BLU-RAY. And I recommend Watch everythingGuy Martin, he is passionate about the things he does and funny on top of it. He is a ray of light not often seen anymore, he willdeny it but he is a Super Star.

I got this DVD yesterday and tried to play it on USA region DVD player.It did not play !!!(Because it's European version )I did not read review of this item before I got this item but now I know this seller sent me same dvd like other buyer."I have a special DVD player and I could play this dvd but seller should tell us about it !!"To any buyer:Please make sure your dvd player can play this European version of the DVD.Movie is Great !! Great video, read other reviews for info. If you're in the USA and don't have a European standard blu-ray player you can still watch the movie. Blu-ray package comes with a PAL standard-def DVD as well as the blu-ray disk. PAL dvd won't play in your Blu-ray or DVD player, but played great in the DVD drive on my Windows 7 computer in Windows Media Player. If you have a computer with HDMI video output, you're in business for your big flatscreen TV as well.

C'est beau , c'est bon, ca sent la gomme.Uniquement en Anglais ( et parfois difficile à comprendre).L'ambiance est extrêmement bien retranscrite bien que plus d'images de la course aurait été appréciable.. Beaucoup de discussions et d'images des "a cotés" mais pour les fans, c'est vraiment à voir..Et le Blu-ray...les caméras embarquées en 3D,, c'est juste terrifiant!! j'avais vu à peu près tout ce qui s'était fait sur le TT .. mais là on est encore un cran au dessus..Pour tout ceux qui souhaitent un jour faire le pèlerinage sur l'ile de Man, voila un excellent apéritif!Bref, Je ne regrette pas du tout l'achat ..______________________________________________________________________________A film about the progress of the pilots for their participation in TT.Before, during, after, everything goes ... It's beautiful, it's good, it smells gum.The atmosphere is extremely well transcribed even if more images of the race would have been nice .. If you're a fan, it's a movie your have to see ..And Blu-ray ... embedded 3D cameras, it's just scary! I had seen almost everything that was done about TT .. but there is still a cut above ..For those who wish to one day make the pilgrimage to the Isle of Man, here is a great appetizer!In short, I do not regret buying ..

Recesione di "tt3d - closer to the edge" edizione ingleseOttimo documentario, davvero ben fattoPraticamente racconta le vicende di alcuni piloti, come mcguinnes, martin, hutchinson ecc, prima e durante lo svolgimento del tt 2010 (il documentario è incentrato principalmente sulla figura di guy martin). A ciò si aggiungono anche riferimenti strorici riguardanti sia la gara che i piloti.Il blu ray è davvero ben fatto, ottima la qualità delle immagini (e ottimi extra)è presente sia la traccia audio 5.1 sia la traccia audio 2.0 in lpcm (entrambi in inglese)Sottotitoli in inglese presenti nel film

Ich hatte leider die Möglichkeit verpasst, eine von nur zwei Vorstellungen im lokalen Kino wahrzunehmen. So hatte ich den Release schon herbeigesehnt und mir die DVD-Version vorbestellt. Jeder Motorradfahrer hat schon mal von der legendären Tourist Trophy der Isle of Man gehört. Einer der wenigen Orte der Welt, wo Rennen auf ungesicherter, regulärer, öffentlicher Straßenstrecke abgehalten werden. Das hat dort seit 1907 Tradition und steht jedem Enthusiasten offen.Eine Pilgerstätte für die Liebhaber des Benzingeruchs, dem dunklen Grollen hubraumstarker Motoren und dem gepflegten Gleiten über Asphalt. Die Dokumentation "Closer to the edge" (dt.Titel "Hart am Limit") begleitet, neben anderen Rennfahrern, schwerpunktmäßig den Briten Guy Martin und fängt dabei vor allem die Faszination dieses Sports erstklassik ein und versteht sie gekonnt in Szene zu setzen. Einmal bei diesem Event Zaungast sein und die Atmosphäre tanken, mit all den Gleichgesinnten aus allen Teilen der Welt, gleicht einem Mekka für Zweiradpiloten.Ich kann die Version in der deutschen Übersetzung empfehlen. Die Synchronstimmen sind gut gewählt und vermögen es, die Emotionen der Piloten, Mechaniker, der Angehörigen der Fahrer, Inselbewohner und der interviewten Gäste des 2010er-Events zu transportieren. Sehr schöne Slow-Motion-Bilder wechseln, zu einem gelungen Soundtrack, mit rasanten First-Person-Einstellungen.Was mir aber vor allem gefällt, ist neben einer gelungenen Dramaturgie im zeitlichen Ablauf der Geschehnisse, der Versuch, die Faszination und das Selbstverständnis für die TT auch Menschen zu vermitteln, denen der Motorradsport nicht so nahe am Herzen liegt. Die Dokumentation versteht es meiner Erachtens sehr gut, ein Plädoyer für Freiheit und Selbstbestimmung zu schaffen, so dass die Akteure und Anhänger dieses gefährlichsten Straßenrennens der Welt, nicht mehr mit einem "Alles Bekloppte!" abgetan werden können. Es geht in der Doku auch darum, den lebensbejahenden Lifestyle der Akteure dieser Veranstaltung aufzuzeigen. Dass das Leben ein einziges Risiko ist und man im Streben nach vermeintlicher Sicherheit, vor allem Gefahr läuft, das Leben ansich zu verpassen und damit dessen Vielfalt an Schönheit und faszinierenden Dingen. Dies vermag die Dokumentation anhand einer sehr aufregenden Fassette gekonnt zu beschreiben.
