I’ve tried several waffle mixes, and Maple Grove Farms Belgian Waffle Mix has become my clear favorite. The waffles come out with a perfectly crisp exterior and a fluffy inside, just the way a good Belgian waffle should be. The mix itself is easy to use, requiring only a few basic ingredients, and the results are consistently excellent. The flavor is mildly sweet, which pairs wonderfully with any toppings you like, from fresh fruit to syrup. It’s a great way to enjoy a high-quality breakfast at home without much effort. This is a great product.

So the first time I tried this mix (using an inexpensive Oster waffle maker) , I thought it wasn't so good. But this past week I decided to give it another try with a bit of tweaking. Since the box suggested seltzer water, I used Fever Tree tonic water and some good dark rum (Black Magic) instead of water. Wow, what a difference! I did whisk the mixture as recommended but let it sit for 30 minutes before pouring it on the iron and it had increased in volume by about 25%. Obviously something going on there that made for a tasty and fluffy waffle.

This is our favorite Belgian waffle mix. We were able to buy it locally in Austin, TX at the local HEB but since moving to Dallas, we haven't been able to find it in stores. We were stocking up on it when we visited my daughter and then I found it on Bolo and this is now our source for the products. It makes a waffle that is light and crispy on the outside. It has a nice level of sweetness to it and it works well for our lifestyle as all you have to do is add liquid and start cooking. The ingredients are spelled out which is nice for someone like me with food allergies and intolerances. For instance, with this mix, I know I have to take Lactaid because it has milk product. Otherwise, I'm good to go and enjoying waffles is an easy task with this mix.

Great product undermined by lousy packaging. Charge a little extra and put in a resealable plastic package so one doesn't end up with flour all over the kitchen.

Did not rise at all. Got flat waffles falling apart. May have been old product. Had no way to do a return. Just states no returns allowed. Out $10 for nothing.

Thanks to this mix, it is dangerously easy to whip up a waffle meal in no time. Just add water. That's it. I do sometimes add an egg to make it more hearty. With my Belgian waffle iron - also purchased on Bolo - I've gone from dud waffles to super-deluxe waffles. After a trial run with mix and appliance, I've tweaked the instructions to yield perfectly fluffy and crisp Belgian waffles to my liking. Enjoy your waffle with bonus toppings or plain yum. What's more, I love the Bolo sale price (which can swing up/down by ten bucks)for a bundle of 6 boxes: a way better price than at my local grocery stores. No need to waffle, this mix is the real deal.
