We have a concord grape vine and make jelly every year. I've tried several brands and types of pectin and this is the best in my opinion. It doesn't interfere with the flavor of the fruit and it creates a nice jammy consistency, not like commercial jelly (if you prefer that, the liquid pectin is a better match). It took me a couple of batches to figure out the perfect proportions for my fruit, but I never had a set failure. If you follow the suggested amounts it will definitely set up quite firmly. Slightly cutting back on the sugar and pectin will give you a softer jam. Going too far may cause a set failure, but the flex batch makes it easy to redo. The box of twelve was a competitive price, but probably not the best you can find during peak season. But it was nice to find it on Bolo when the stores were sold out for the season.

I love this pectin. It sets up every time and I can adjust what I need to use based off of the amount of fruit I have prepared. Perfect for those times the fruit doesn't go as far or further than I hoped. It also seems to leave a bit more of the fruit flavor and kick and not as overly sweet.

Would never get this pectin again made 2 batches of pomegranate jelly, and they didnt set up even after 3 days. I then used sure-jell and I have had no problems at all. I will never get the ball pectin again. I even called ball, they told me that you can not double batch your jams, and that you can only use balls Recipes for jelly that is the only way that the pectin will work. Don't use this product use sure-jell. Hope this helps
