It seems like a nice, solid piece to me. I understand what some reviewers mean about the screws feeling cheap. I did struggle with one of them, but I had extras on hand to switch it out so I didn't mind.

This is a nice basic vent, with no gasket around the perimeter, but which seals well enough when shut. The louvers work easily and smoothly.One caveat. Don't be tempted to think that the supplied screws are self tapping for the wood that is behind your register mounting hole. The screws are soft, so if you torque too hard, I suspect they will snap, but the soft steel makes them easy to cut to size, after which they work great. I like that they come with Nut/Philips heads.

The packaging said that 2 screws were included however there were no screws in the package. Not a huge problem since I luckily happened to have a couple of extras laying around the house I just thought I would give the next buyer a heads up! Other than the missing screws I am satisfied with the quality and price point of the vent. The vent fit perfectly as measured and looks to be heavy duty and sturdy. Also, the vent blades are easy to adjust which makes it helpful to position them in the direction the air needs to flow.
Great to stop excess heat from blasting
We had too much hot air blasting into bedroom from furnace. This helps to reduce the airflow!

For the price, you can't beat this register. It is great quality and comes with the screws. Very simple to install myself.I like that it directs the air in two directions and very easy to adjust with the sliding button which doesn't stick out like other models.

I really liked the register, it looks great in the room, except made an error in size the first order, but second time it was perfect.I really was upset with the fee for returning the item.
