The price is less than in the stores. They seem to work just fine. I take my readings about once or twice each week. I'm not diabetic, but am borderline, so I want to stay ahead of the game. This helps me stay on top of it to be sure I am not eating too many sweets!!

The reason I like these is simple:1. Price. Much cheaper than many of the other brands2. These require a *much* smaller amount of blood than the One Touch ones I had been using. This means fewer pricks and being able able to spread the pricks around to other areas where you get less blood. BIG advantage.

I was seriously on the fence about buying these. Usually when the price of something is too good to be true, it is. I opted to only order one box since I wasn't quite sure what I was going to be getting. I also took the time to double check the stores around me, and quickly realized that they were double the price.These were delivered quickly and were well within an acceptable expiration date. It's listed as 08/31/2014. I compared them against another bottle that was almost empty, and they were nearly spot on with both test results. To say that I am pleased to not have to spend $50-$60 for 50 of these is an understatement.

It turns out these strips, while priced right, are "Exclusively for Mail Order Use" (as stated on the box) and the expiration date was only 89 days from the date received. Probably OK for the majority of users, but since I'm only border-line, my Doctor has me testing only twice a week - so a box of 50 carries me for 25 weeks (175 days), well past the expiration date.
