7-keto DHEA is supposed to be a better option of DHEA to take so despite it's being pricey I purchase this version. Also, so many supplements have stearates in them, not sure why, is this a filler? Why add fillers, I simply do not want to take too many supplements w/this additive, over time could be a problem. I am becoming discerning about the additional materials in my supplements so sellers need to get clue-y about that.

I have chronic migraines. My doctors have failed to diagnose a cause thus far, so I've been trying to rule things out. One of the things I noticed was that I have a spike of them around the time of month when testosterone is at its lowest point, and there have been (inconclusive) studies examining the effects of testosterone on migraines. Nobody will prescribe testosterone to me, but my PCP suggested DHEA, so I tried 7-keto.At first I tried 25mg per day, then twice per day, then 50mg twice per day, about 1-2 months each time, with about a month break in between trials. Each time, I got an outbreak of pimples that lasted about 2 weeks and then went away. I noticed no other effects. Each time I stopped taking it, I noticed my energy levels suddenly tanked. To be clear, my energy did not increase while taking it, but taking it and then stopping it caused them to be lower for about 2 weeks.I've experimented with it enough that I'm ready to drop my rating from an uncertain 3-stars to a definite 1-star, as it doesn't seem to accomplish anything positive.
