The order was processed and shipped quickly. It's just for the stand, which was made in India. I am very pleased with the design and ease of assembling this cake stand. It has a very nicely polished finish. The design is reminiscent of a 'deco' diner type stand. The 2 metal cones meet at their narrow ends, the bolt enters the topside of the stand plate and snugs its squared head into the hole, and goes down into the first cone that fits flush underneath the plate and then into the base cone (so pointy ends meeting), where a wing nut threads on inside that base and is tightened to just snug, not too tight. The base cone is the one with the rolled rim, the top cone is the one with the thin rim. Took less than a minute to assemble. There were 3 stickers on the plate upper surface, 1 left residue which "goo gone" removed after a minute or 2 soak and a gentle rub with a folded paper towel --with the grain of the steel, not across it. A quick hand wash with some dish detergent, dried with paper towels, with a little buffing, looks just great.I don't know what the weight capacity of this is, but in diners, I've only seen doughnuts or danishes, or muffins on such a stand. So my guess is it will comfortably hold about 2 dozen 2 ounce muffins or about 3 pounds. Remember, it's bolted not welded together It might hold more, but I'm not planning on having that much temptation around. Easy to clean, won't chip or shatter. And just looks so inviting with a white paper doily on it. I'm getting the plastic cover, too but that's a separate delivery. There is a low rim on the plate, which I wanted and a channel that runs next to it, which looks like where the cover seats. So that should keep the goodies on the plate, collect crumbs, keep the dust off etc. I like the stainless steel for a sanitary surface. The ceramic and glass have that too, but I needed something chip/crack/shatter resistant so my hubby would feel more comfortable grabbing a pastry for breakfast.The diner look can be upscaled. It can be decorated with flowers around the base, or a sparkly scarf draped over first, and then the goodies arranged on top, to change the look. Could put little ornament hooks from the channel with dangling crystals hung around like some of the 'bridal' cake stands. I'm going to have fun with this Wimco stainless steel 13 inch cake display stand!

The media could not be loaded. We used this for our wedding cake that I made at my small business Fig Tree Organics in East Tennessee. It was stunning.It's easy to assemble, very sturdy and can hold a tiered cake with no issues– easy to clean and take apart. It has a good weight to it, and it's not flimsy at all! The size is exactly what you'd want for a birthday cake, small/medium personal sized wedding cake, or even to stack cupcakes, treats, or champagne cups on.We had 2 different cakes– one small cake for the photos at our ceremony, and then a tiered cake for after our wedding that we cut privately and kept the top tier to freeze for our 1 (technically our 10) year anniversary. Our tiered cake was 3 layers of 8 inch cake on the bottom tier and 3 layers of 6 inch cake on the top tier) and the cake stand could definitely hold more weight than that!100% functional and I would absolutely recommend you get this cake stand– as a baker and as someone who pays high attention to quality and detail!
1.0 out of 5 stars Did a toddler just throw random pieces into a box with NO assembly instructions?
Looks pretty and that's about it. Got the three main pieces - the plate (top and labeled "A") and then the two pieces that go under it labeled "B", and the wing nut and then the long screw to supposedly pull it all together? I need to be able to have the plate move around in a circle and easily but every time I try it, it loosens the whole long screw and wing nut and it's back to square one. Looks like a washer is missing maybe, maybe not? I'm an intelligent consumer but this product does not live up to the hype if there ever was any. Nice try but a waste of my $$ even though it really doesn't break the bank. Oh, and yes, I did read reviews but missed the truthful ones - obviously.

This cake stand was just ok. I really wanted a silver cake stand to match the theme of the party. It did the job, but was a little crooked once the cake was on it. It's just held up with a long screw through 2 silver bowls basically. It was $16 so I can't complain too much, but I wouldn't put a wedding cake on it for sure. I used it for a personal party but I would not trust a client's cake on it at all. I did like that the 12" cake board fit on it nicely. That made it easy to set the 10" cake on it.

I BOUGHT TWO OF THESE ACTUALLY. ONE FOR MYSELF AND ANOTHER FOR A FRIEND, BEWARE GUYS, THIS DOESN'T COME WITH THE LID. I HAVE SEEN THIS PRODUCT WITH THE LID IN A MOVIE AND HAD TO HAVE IT! THERE'S A MOVIE CALLED WHAT'S YOUR NUMBER. I KNOW, SOUNDS LAME BUT THERE IS A SCENE IN THE MOVIE WHERE THE MAIN CHARACTER SEES ONE OF HER EXES IN A BAKERY AND THE EX IS GETTING MARRIED AND TASTING CAKE WITH HIS FIANCE. YOU CAN SEE THEY ACTUALLY HAVE LIKE THREE IN THAT PART OR MAYBE MORE. ANYWAYS, I LOOKED HIGH AND LOW FOR SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND FINALLY FOUND IT HERE ON Bolo! THE PRICE WAS GREAT FOR BOTH ITEMS AND SHIPPING WAS REALLY QUICK. I USE MINE ON AND OFF. SOMETIMES FOR STORE-BOUGHT SWEET BREAD OTHER TIMES I MAKE BROWNIES AND PUT THEM IN THERE. THE STAND AND LID LOOK BEAUTIFUL AND I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A FANCY LOOKING CAKE STAND AND LID WITHOUT PAYING WAY TOO MUCH. THE LID IS MADE OF PLASTIC BUT STILL LOOKS AMAZING! I DID HAVE A LITTL BITOF TROUBLE PUTTING THE STAND TOGETHER BUT THEN LOOKED AT THE PICTURE ND REALIZED THAT THE CONE SHAPES GO FACING EACHOTHER NOT PILED ONE ON TOP OF THE OTHER IN THE SAME POSITION. THE STAND IS ALSO A DURABLE STAINLESS STEEL AND IS WASHABLE. JUST DRY IT AS SOON AS YOU WASH IT SO THAT IT DOESN'T DRY WITH THE WATER STAINS ON IT. THE LID TOO

Es una excelente base para pastal, se ve muy elegante por el color y el acabado brilloso que tiene!Es extremadamente fácil de armar y desarmar, en total son 5 piezas y no necesitas herramienta alguna, no te tomara mas de 2 minutos armarla.Tiene una muy buena altura, ideal para presentar algún bizcocho, cupcakes o pastel en una mesa de dulces, se vera genial.Solo debemos tener cuidado en lavarla con un paño o esponja suave para evitar rallar el material, y secarla muy bien con dos trapos para evitar dejar marcas de los dedos en la base por ejemplo.En cuanto al envío: Por parte de Bolo muy bien pues venia en su caja, pero la base como tal venia solo cubierta en una bolsa burbuja. (Me gusta si, pues no se maltrato ni nada, pero me hubiera gustado mas una caja especial para guardar la base. Supongo que por ahora tendré que usar a de Bolo)Relación Precio/Calidad: ¡Excelente! un producto que compraría de nuevo.

Flimsy, uneven, horrible Chinese made junk
A fantastically badly made stand. I am still scratching my head to understand how in the world this made-in-China product could be made so bad.Avoid: flimsy, thin stainless steel. Uneven on rotation (the top cannot be rotated without rotating the bottom as they are attached with a screw). The stand is not even properly circular.Then looking at this horrific product I ask myself - can I trust they used food grade stainless steel? Probably not. They will likely to throw in the cheapest nastiest materials as well.
