I've so far only used them is soups and curries but I'm sure there are plenty of other uses. I used to buy this type of product in the bulk foods section, many years ago. I used it for potato salad…”you’re welcome”. It disappeared and I forgot about it, until recently. Bolo provides a couple of alternatives. This size and brand were the cost effective choices for me. I will say, however, that I feel it’s overpriced. Until I find an alternative, this will have to do. Cooking for two means this allows me to make a one meal batch of potato salad, easily, and not have fattening leftovers.

This saved us in a pinch when we weren't able to make it to the grocery store for some potatoes! Although, it's a little tricky with the measurements but since I'm a friendly southern lady, I'll help ya'll out! :-). Ok, so for two people who like to measure out potatoes for Breakfast or Dinner use, I would suggest measuring out 1/2 cup of potatoes, boiling up some water and lightly filling it up but not past the potatoes. Consider this similar to Ramen Noodle Soup. You have the hard noodles, and when you fill the water, it's not a whole lot as the noodles will absorb that water. Same with these babies! If you desire to cook this for more than 2 people, then of course measure it for 1 cup or 1.5 cups and again just pour in boiling water till it's just 1/4 way filling the bowl. Cover the bowl and let is sit for 15-20 mins for the 2 person measurement or 30-40 mins if it's more than 2 people. Cook it with butter or oil, some salt (not a whole lot mind you as it has it's natural potato flavor) and viola you've got yourself some diced potatoes! :-)

Takes a long while to rehydrate and then still are a little tough to chew. Probably will work best in a slow cooked soup/stew.

Great item. They are easy to use and taste pretty decent. I got mine for long term storage but wanted to test them out. Not horrible and can be used in a pinch if needed. Price is pretty good as well. I have no issues at all.

Great flavors I have 10 different kinds of vegetables by this company. Also if you can’t find any frozen vegetables this’ll help with dinner and soup, consider they are freeze and dehydrated vegetables
