No problems. This saved me a couple hundred dollars because I used this starter and DYI’d it instead of the repair. I didn’t need any specialty tools. But it does take time because I had to disconnect several things to access it. I had and probably needed help from a friend to install it.

This starter motor completely failed in March 2021 after being installed in July 2020.This starter lists a "1 year warranty" listed on this product page.When I contacted this seller, DB electrical, they said that "Bolo would cover the warranty", which sounds fishy ,- and to contact "warrantyquestions@Bolo.com". This I performed several times to no avail, this mailbox goes nowhere apparently.When this starter motor dies, and leaves you stranded at night waiting for a tow, that will far exceed the cost of this poor product, you will wish as I did that I never saw this product page. The job itself is not fun to repeat as I had to take off the oil cooler filter sump to pull and install this which is easily a 2-3 hour job.

Got this put in, the gentleman that did the work stated there was one part that was very very difficult to get tightened, drove the car for about a week ,came out of work 1 day it wouldn't start, tapped on the starter the car started back up, The gentleman came back over rechecked everything, Check the bolts, check the wiring, the car has been running now for a total of 2 weeks, We are not quite sure what happened maybe a loose plug wire?? Not sure, fingers crossed, car is running now, will update if any problems

I bought this as a "WareHouse Deal" to save money. It shipped Prime so it arrived just as soon as a nonreturned item would. They test these units when returned so you get the printout of how it performed on the test bench which verifies it was not returned because it was defective. So if you are a cheap SOB like me an Bolo Warehouse Deal starter will save you money; it cost me the same as used unit would and I did not have to pull it.

Unbelievably great price. Way lower than the local parts store. So far its working great, very strong. Looked to be a good quality part.. No problems installing. My only install tip would be to make sure you hook up the electrical connections first before bolting the new starter in. Makes it much easier. Also, i couldn't believe how worn out the old starter was. It was very noisy and barley turning anymore. Seems the bearings were shot. So if you are having any starting problems at all and high milage, i would swap this out before it fails. Mine failed at 210k and 10 yrs...not bad
