Then I looked further at the thing taking it apart and flipped the guard around. Put a 1/4 of an onion under it and chop, chop, chop.. easy peasy, and was chopped up nicely, quicky and no pieces all over my cutting board from cutting with a knife. To clean it I filled the chamber up with hot water a shook it and set it to dry. Hope it lasts bc im really happy to get using it!

I bought this just over a year ago, and it truly is great at chopping things like onions, and we use it almost daily. However, the plastic components are quite fragile, and have now broken to the extent that the clear plastic cup no longer latches on to the metal upper body. We will try the OXO version instead this time.

Save your money and buy another product because this one isn't worth the effort. It looks great and the description sounds nice but the product itself doesn't hold up to the description.Build quality:When reviewing this product, I was hoping for a quick and easy way to chop nuts, onions, cilantro, etc. When first attching the container to the chopper, I didn't check for a clean seal before using. The product could have been defective from the start but I'm unsure.Chopability:When chopping, the container came open at the bottom and spilled the contents. I tried cleaning it, drying and starting again but it never closes completely. It is difficult to use unless you continuously check the bottom to ensure it remains sealed. You can use it without the bottom on a cutting board but that was not why I bought it. Ease of use:The one positive thing is it is pretty easy to assemble and there is a cover to protect you from the blades. If I could return it, I would have. My mom saw it and asked if I liked it and I told her to save her money and buy something else. Would not recommend because it isn't made well.

Bought in July of 2023. Used it several days per week to chop small quantites of onions, radishes etc. I worked well and did a good job of chopping and was easy to use. However last week while using it the top broke off and rendered it unusable. Disappointed that that it broke after only six months. I will replace it but with another brand.Alex

Couldn’t really cut the onion esp the slightly tougher layer. Then tried cutting the tomato, same couldn’t cut off the tomato skin! I have to remove all and hand chopping all. Then it was a fiasco to clean it. Onion got stuck in and couldn’t get it out until washing it and left all over in my sink! Such a waste. Throw it to the bin straight away.
