I was a bit surprised how small it actually is when I pulled it out of the box. I sort of wish I had purchased a larger size which would have been better for the occasional times I serve more than 3 people. Also, I like having leftover rice for making fried rice. This machine doesn't have quite enough capacity for that. I love the stainless steel liner. It's feels safer than a non-stick coating which is potentially toxic. Some rice does stick on the stainless steel surface, but it's not much of an issue. The unit heats well, although it seems slightly slower than larger units when cooking the same quantity of rice.

Works great! Feel a lot safer cooking rice in stainless steel rather than toxic teflon. Clean up just as easy as the nkn-stick teflon.Note: use a little less water than you have used in a teflon, non-stick. I think the stainless gets a bit hotter so cooks the rice longer if too much water = rice got mushy until I figured that out and started using less water. Ex: 2/3rds cup basmati rice, 1 1/3rd cups liquid or thereabouts. You can always add more water if it finishes and rice not quite done.(Truth: I cook rice in half water/half coconut milk or half water/half chivken stock. Yum.)

I bought a used rice cooker just like this one at a thrift shop 10 years ago. It has been very convenient to use but my husband thought we should upgrade to a stainless steel inset bowl. I ordered it and it came quickly.. It worked even better than my old one with the added bonus of a stainless steel bowl. It makes perfect rice and didn't stick to the walls as some reviews indicated.Thank you. I love it!

I used 1 1/2 cup of basmati rice, 3 cups of water, salt and and a dash of olive oil. No stickiness to the bottom. It did finish cooking and the leverage changed back to warm. I decided to keep it for 5 more minutes. It comes with a measuring cup I suggest to use and a rice spoon. It works if you want something simple and quick.

Just got my rice cooker the other day. I made my first batch of rice tonight. I washed the beautiful stainless steel pot with warm soapy water. Whew! Once the heat element heated up my kitchen smelled of hot plastic. I was concerned that my rice would taste like plastic but it did not taste like plastic. The rice was moist and well cooked. I chose this unit specifically for the stainless steel cooking pot. The cooking pot cleaned up nicely after use with warm soapy water. I do hope that the next batch of rice I cook will not smell up my kitchen.

This cooker is advertised in the Dutch Bolo store but does not come with a plug that fits European outlets. It is an American plug.
This rice cooker has been so good to me TuT <3
I bought this on Nov 2019, writing this review May 2021I am still using this, and still love it! The machine part has been working perfectly, but that's not a big milestone - BUT! The bowl!! it has stayed perfect, it is still easy to clean, and it still looks good as new - which is surprising. My previous rice cooker had a machine that still worked, but had a ton of scratches noticeable in the bowl and I was worried it would leak metals or coating into my rice, my friends warned me it could be bad, so I looked everywhere for a rice cooker with a bowl that would be healthy, would last and be made of stainless steel. IT WAS SO HARD TO FIND!! And some of the reviews on this one seemed like the bowl would burn and not last?? So I almost didn't give it a chance... but I decided to risk it. And I am glad I did! It's given me no problems. I like small appliances because I move a lot, and the size is great for me and my fiance. I sometimes use it to cook other things that are not rice (like soups - made a tomato peanut one once, SO GOOD with zuccini parmesan waffles yummmm - or quinoa), but mostly I do rice - basmati and calrose. Because I love making indian and japanese food. And it makes both perfecly well! I know sometimes there can be defective machines randomly and maybe I lucked out, but I've been so happy with this one. I recommend!

This item is priced very high, so I thought it would be good but was surprised to see that the item was not working
Excellent rice cooker!
I’ve been using this for 2 years and came back to say this was an excellent purchase.For those that say their rice sticks, it requires no oil, just good timing. My method is to leave it to continue steaming for about 15 mins after rice is cooked (light switches from cook to warm), then unplug. After scooping out most of the rice save for the crust, I cover the lid to let the trapped moisture work through for at least 15 mins. Then as soon as I open the lid, I immediately scrape the crust at a sharp angle to lift it off before the moisture all but evaporates leaving stuck on rice again. The crust once removed is crispy and delicious! Hope this helps those who are frustrated, like I was at first.
