5.0 out of 5 stars Sealed My Hydraulic Connections
Had trouble with hydraulic connections dripping. Searched for a solution and found this product. It's more expensive than the product that failed but is certainly worth the extra money. Used a brush and 100% Acetone to clean the old sealant off the male and female threads. Loctite has a product for this but the MDS sheet showed it was 80+% Acetone so i decided to skip the Loctite cleaner. Let the cleaned fittings sit for several hours to dry and applied this product to the male threads and assembled each of the 4 fittings i had individually. Let them sit for 2 days (twice the recommended time). Zero leaks now.

As with all of Loctite's sealers and thread lockers this product is ANAEROBIC CURING. That means that is cures in the absence of air/oxygen. If the bottle was filled to the top it would be a solid hard useless lump by the time it was delivered to the customer. The bottle is filled to the correct amount when it is less than half full. Same with any liquid that oozes out of a connection. The sealer that is not exposed to air CURES. That which squeezes out eventually DRIES OUT (not the same as curing) but it has no sealing power.

Works well for air compressor fittings. I'd normally give this 4 stars due to the high price, but I had quite some issues with a leaky check valve and this stuff saved me. I give it 24hrs cure time just to be safe and every fitting I've used it on has been leak free. No issues with removal and is fairly easy to clean too.

It is a very small amount, but I didn't need or want to spend a lot of money for sealing three connections on my resin casting pressure pot. So far, the pot holds pressure perfectly.

I have no idea if this is better than the cheaper alternative, but considering the hassle of failure, why take chances. Do the job once. It worked.

I'll probably never use teflon tape again after using this so much cleaner and nicer looking especially for a lowrider setup where everything needs to look clean. Thanks to Hoppo's hydraulics for letting me know about this! Thanks alex!
Misleading product size

The actual size of the product is smaller than the product image shown in the description. It is very easy to miss the actual product measurement. You see the bottle size and it is very hard to notice or read the fluid measurement on the bottle versus the description. This is purposefully misleading and technically false advertising.

If I could give zero I would. You get a tiny little tube of it. For $10. I’m going to stop buying stuff like this online and start going back to the store to have it in my hand first. What a rip off.
