If asked if this is a good DVD player, my answer is "not really." If the question is "is it good for the price" then the answer is yes it is.For me, this is actually a replacement for the same model unit that I got about 4 years ago that never seemed to work right. In that unit, the DVD quit working after not too much time, but since I had it paired with another unit, it kept working if the disc was in the other unit. Finally, it died altogether. The other unit, which is also several years old, is still playing fine. So, for the price, I guess I would have to say its a pretty decent value.This did come with the different covers on it, and I swapped out the black for gray so it matches the other one. These do seem to have a problem with the covers staying in place, and tucked in around the edges. But again, for the price, I am willing to put up with a little roughness.

There is no speaker system in the unit itself. You seem to be stuck with headphones, FM, or doing something with the audio outs...kind of a surprise when you figure all the other things that are in the unit.User manual is poor, and you're basically on your own for installation.

had less than a week and had nothing but trouble getting it to stay on the power connector had to be undone and put back together every time i used it and then the power connector quit going back togther

9 months after purchase a small metal piece where the headphones plug in popped out, now can't use at all. Called company (Power Acoustics) to purchase a replacement part only to be told they don't provide any parts. Woman was very rude and offered NO RESOLUTION! Buyer beware!!!!!!
