Never been much on expensive footwear. Every pair I buy seem to wear out faster than expected. After 5 years of buying budget I broke down and purchased these boots September 2018. I can say in truth "Best boots I have ever purchased!" After 11 months of heavy use and abuse the heels ultimately came apart where the leather meets the black rubber of the soles. Sad to see them go, still had about 2-3 months of life in the soles. Bought a new pair just last week. I highly recommend these boots for the active worker. I am not going back to purchasing budget brands at Wal-Mart every 3 months. Irish Setter has gained my respect and my business.

From a Timberland PRO 9.5W they are about half a size bigger. They are a little loose all the way around but they seem to be good quality boot for the money .

Best work boot I have owned to date. Comfortable from day one. Sizing was accurate for me. Always had a problem with steel toe boots causing bunions and calluses. Not this boot. They did away with string hooks on the row second from top and went with a heavy duty leather loop. GREAT idea. This is where the shoe string always wears out, plus, because of the work I do, I kneel a lot and always collapse that hook. Eliminated both of those problems! Try to get 2 years out of a pair and have found that challenging as of late. These appear that they will exceed that!!

This is the 3rd pair I've ordered and for good reason. The first pair are still comfortably in use 5 days a week on concrete and are still waterproof to this day over a year later. Great boots for the money!

Someday Red Wing will stop making these boots. The world and my feet will be all the worse for it. I got my first pair of these about six or seven years ago and I haven't bought anything else since. They are comfortable, supportive and hard wearing. I work as a contractor and wear them every day. They are nice enough to wear to an office and tough enough to wear to an industrial facility. A pair will last me just over a year before they're just too messed up looking. Mind you I don't have to replace them because they start to fall apart or the sole wears out. I just mess them up so bad that they look terrible. I recommend a good boot insole to go with them. This boot might not be for you, but nobody is perfect.

Good fit for a medium width. My feet run narrow and lace ups are the only way I can get a decent fit. Well made boots. Irish Setter and Red Wing have always been top of the line shoes / boots. Worn them for many years.
