Tuff Country # 30991 High Performance Traction Bars are the ultimate traction control devices for your Dodge Ram 3500. Designed to greatly reduce wheel hop and axle wrap that can result from high horsepower, towing applications and lifted trucks with larger than stock tires. Greaseable and re-bulidable heim joints adjust to various lengths to fit on factory height and lifted applications. Mounting is done below the factory leaf springs (see images) to allow for use with factory or aftermarket overload springs. Back by Tuff County EZ-Ride Suspension's limited lifetime warranty.
Installation Note
Will only fit with 4" rear axle. Will not fit with contact or top mount overload springs.

Overall I’m very happy with this setup! The install manual didn’t account for trucks that have locking tab nuts on the axle springs, so I had to cut them off and make modifications to the plates to make them work.As for the ride, it improved immensely!! The rear end is so much more stable and planted than ever before!! I had clunking into gear while towing heavy loads and now the shifting is buttery smooth! Turns out my axle was twisting under moderate acceleration before!! Now it’s solid and stays put!!Also, as seen in the pictures, this kit fits with the AirLift 7500XL Airbag system installed with no modifications! I was worried about it fitting but thankfully there wasn’t an issue!I SHOULD HAVE DONE THIS MOD YEARS AGO!!

A couple jokes that need drilled require a stubby drill and bit, but other than that, the install was straight forward and easy. Immediate improvement in not only traction but also braking. The body doesn't seem to pitch forward as much so the truck stops more level and easier. Still have a little shudder but that is from the split driveshaft.

this bar is a little bit expensive....but the parts explain the price !!!! was easy to mount the kit under the car, this kit is a heavy duty kit just make for the dodge ram.....better drive train for a better drive way !!!!!

the brackets loosened up because they do not fit perfectly to the leaf spring shackle which cause a creaking noise when starting and stopping. I have since drilled the hole larger and put bigger bolts in it with lock tite and aboiut every three months check them to keep them tight.
