The media could not be loaded. I hand lapped the valves on a set of used Vortec heads. I just wanted to clean up the seats a little so I only used the Fine compound. Used a piece of fuel tubing and listened to hear the valves smoothing out, maybe 30-45 seconds per valve. Before I could get 25in of vacuum and they’d bleed down in about 5 seconds. Video shows the result.

I use it to service the seacocks of my boat. Works great. It arrived with a little dent on one side, but nothing got out of the tub.

I saw a potter use this paste to get a perfect fit from a lid on a pot that was too tight. I tried the same and it did the job. The lid was a hair too wide and using the paste enabled me to twist the lid into place gradually grinding the surface to fit perfectly. Having a course and a fine grit was a plus. The ground ceramic surface was almost as smooth as the other surfaces that were glazed. I’m glad to have this in my arsenal for finishing pottery.

I bought this to help lids fit in pottery jars. It works great for that (even though it’s not the intended purpose). The only downside is that it leaves a greasy residue/stain on the pottery that needs to be burned off and can prevent glaze from sticking. Overall I would buy again. But I definitely have to have a game plan for how to clean the paste up when I’m done using it.
